I read a lot of reviews before I decided to pick this carrier . It came folded flat in the box, which is great for storage when not in use. The zippers worked smoothly and Pepper went right inside. She likes to travel in the car, and she needed more room. I'll be able to open the sides and set her up in the back of the car with the seats down. I leave it open at home and she likes to lay in there with her toys. The bottom comes out and is furry on one side and smooth on the other. She doesn't like any type of fur beds so I use it upside down. UPDATE: it's now 2 1/2 mos. Later and 2 of the zippers won't work anymore. They don't look misaligned, but the no longer work. There's 2 more doors so we're using those. Disappointed because it really is nice and spacious.

My cat doesn't like kennels but the first day of having this, he went in on his own and fell asleep. The fluffy bottom is great! My only issues are: the Velcro straps that hold the expandable sides up are the same straps used to hold the fluffy mat down. If you have the sides strapped up, the mat has nothing holding it in and they fall inwards on the cat. The the safety leash is on the bottom in the middle and if you have the mat you can't use the safety leash unless you cut a hole in the mat. And last, the whole thing kind of falls to one side like the sides can only support half the weight of the bag.

I liked this product and having it expand for my cat to have a bit more freedom in his bag whilst enjoying the outdoors. However, I noticed it wasn’t as sturdy and did not keep its shape as much. A few times of my cat jumping on top of it and there’s a crease which is very evident and it bends there. Could be of better quality.

Both my cats jumped right in as soon as I set it up at home. One cat even slept in it overnight with the door open. The sides are great for the cats to stretch out and peer through, especially on a long trip in the car or waiting at the gate to board the plane. The bottom is supportive, but not stiff, so it will begin to sag a bit with the weight of the cat, it however is not an issue. At the same time, I purchased another style that doesn't have the side expansion but does have a hard bottom so it won't bend.
