Update 12/16/22: The company reached out to me and sent me a new brush. I have changed the rating from 1 star to 4 because their customer service is so good. It gives me confidence to try more of their products. I still am rating it 4 stars instead of 5 because I am not sure if it is a design flaw or if I just got a defective brush (the mechanism that retracts and extends the bristles is stuck). I am just going to leave this brush with the bristles out except for when I am cleaning it. I liked this when I first got it. The bristles have balls on the end to be more comfortable for the dogs. It was fairly easy to clean, but not super easy to switch between open and closed. But now the bristles are stuck in the retracted position. I cannot get the bristles out to use the brush, so it is now COMPLETELY useless.

This is our second brush and we still love this one and more importantly so does our German Shepard! Love the retractability and the fur just comes off in one handful. The wire tines are covered with a plastic tip, none have come off from our first one after moderately heavy use. The dog LOVES to get brushed with this and it doesn't irritate her skin. The reason we had to buy another was because about 3-4 tines (bristles) had bent and would stick under the flat surface after retracting. Not impossible to use, it still works, but is more difficult to push the button that pushes the tines out. The cost was reasonable enough to just replace and now we're more careful about storing in the closed (wires retracted) position.

Just got this in and I’m already planning buy one for my mom to use on her Persian cat. So far I’ve brushed my Jack Russell and I didn’t even dream she had that much loose hair. I simply retracted the bristles and the hair it caught were easily ready to throw away. Old like to buy more to keep them on hand to gift to other pet lovers. I highly recommend it.

I bought this brush because i lost my other one and my dog had some small mats that I didn't want to leave unbrushed. My dog hates being though usually tolerates it. Though with the mates she won't let us brush them. This brush works even better then the other one, and even took some mats out. Thought my dags hate it even more. Would recommend, though suggest cation if you dig hates brushing. They most likely will try to nip you

This kid's got a lot of floof and this brush has SAVED HER from getting shaved between groomings. I brush her 1-2x per week and people regularly ask if she's been groomed because of what this brush does to her hair. It takes it from the kinky curly bichon to fluffy cloud, gets rid of all the knots. You can tell by the brush strokes when it's fully detangled. It gets down deep and the release button makes it SUPER easy to clean. So glad I got this brush on prime day on sale.

Brush is easy to hold and is self-cleaning with a push of the button. I have a 45 lb black lab-beagle. She loves to be brushed with this. There are very tiny white “beads” at the end of each bristle so she doesn’t get scratched. Our new favorite way to get the job done! Recommend. Will buy again, as needed.
