I was looking for a cat hammock for our large cat who likes watching birds. This one was recommended to me by a friend who has 4 cats who regularly snuggle together in it. She had been through several different brands that had always fallen but this one held tight for her. She said "I think the window would pull out from the weight of my cats before the suctions came undone." The weight limit said 40 lbs, so knowing I had a big cat, (he recently weighed in at 23.6 lbs) this for Binx in November 2023 for the first Christmas in our new apartment. When it arrived it was super easy to assemble. Its just a pvc frame with a stretched patio furniture type material for the mat and a wire and suction cup hanging apparatus. I was really impressed with the strength of the suction cups. We hung it up and it's been in the front window ever since, it hasn't even slightly budged. This really gives me peace of mind that my cat can safely rest without the risk of falling. It also came with a soft little tie on blanket that you can take off and wash, which I love. It adds comfort for my cat and cleanliness for me. I also appreciate the slim and basic design. The neutral color just kind of dissappears into the window and your forget it's there. And the price was really great! We paid right at $20 for it which is fantastic. So we are approaching 2 years with this one and its still going strong. My mom recently moved into a new house and asked me which hammock I had purchased for Binx and so I came into my past Amazon orders to find it and send her a link and i figured I should probably leave a review too! I would recommend this cat hammock to any cat owner looking for a window perch!

UPDATE, almost 1yr later: I might be jinxing us here but the window bed has held up great. The only thing to even mention is that the PVC bar insert closest to the window sags a bit, but this doesn't appear to compromise the structural integrity overall and is likely caused by my fat cats repeatedly leaning towards the window. I will buy this bed again! /End update I had SUPER low expectations for this window bed, namely because (1) our cats are big 18lb monsters, (2) I'm wary of suction cups, and (3) cats are not the most...appreciative of furniture acquired SPECIFICALLY FOR THEM. Anyway, I had nothing to worry about. This perch was easy to assemble, with some finagling of the suction cups, it actually looks surprisingly cool, thus far we've had no slippage (5+mo up), and the babies love it. Our fat cat lady has really taken to it and spends time there every day. It really helped to clean and dry the window thoroughly before putting the suction cups on. On the aesthetic note, I actually think this design would make a cool little plant hammock too, so I may be purchasing another for that purpose in the future. Anyway, great product! Absolutely recommend this, parent of 2 fat cats approved!

Update: this is a year and a half update. There’s not many things that hold up well these days and this is one that I felt the need to review again. Best money spent! The Support wires are chew proof and it hasn’t fallen once. My cat will chew on everything and he has tried so hard to chew through this and there’s not even a mark. This one is definitely worth the cost! My 13 pound kitty loves it and my 9 pound kitty loves it. I’ve tried other window perches before and nothing has seemed to hold my fat cat for a long time. My big boy weighs about 13 pounds and he’s very long. I bought this for him because he loves to look out the window. He doesn’t have very many places to do that Immediately when I started to put this together, I could feel the quality. The large suction cups had a super stronghold and made it super easy to get up on the window. My cat loves to chew on cords, and I love that the cords on these are super thick and strong, and not something my cat can chew through. That was the first thing he tried to do when he got up there and it took him a minute to get adjusted but quickly settled down for an afternoon nap. I will definitely be getting more of these to put around the house! Just make sure your window is super clean when you put it up for the best suction.

My cat is very spoiled, so I often buy her random things. I bought this for a window, she doesn’t quite like it too much. I’m not entirely sure why, but I’ll say what I like/don’t. Pros - The suction cups work great; she’s just over 9 lbs and it doesn’t budge with her sitting on it. It feels pretty sturdy and was easy to build. Cons - The little cloth that you can tie to it has unnecessarily long strings, and does not fit properly. It’s very loose, and doesn’t cover the entire netted space. It also prevents you from being able to close blinds, so if you don’t have long curtains, don’t expect to be able to get privacy without having to constantly un-suction it to the window. I wish it had a hinge ability on the bottom to be able to fold up. These are the only reasons for 4stars, but otherwise when my cat gets up there she likes it, she just is very picky so she doesn’t get up there herself.
