My internet service provider told me I needed a new modem because my download speed dropped from 450 mbps to 90 mbps. I bought these Cat 8 cables as well because I figured it couldn't hurt to upgrade from my older Cat 5 cables. My speed jumped back up to 450 mbps so I was ready to toss out my older modem. I thought I'd try the old modem one more time before saying sayonara. Surprisingly my download speed stayed at 450 mbps so I new it was the Cat 8 cables that were all that I needed. Really good, just the right length I need. Lost a star because the delivery date was changed to a day later after purchasing. Not a big deal but delayed installation by another day. So if you're thinking of buying, bear that in mind. If that doesn't bother you, I'd say go for it.
