I have several folding shelves (different brand) already, and through many moves these are the ones I have kept. They are sturdy and easy to move, and fit in my honda crv. So I bought this because I figured it would be similar. The wood does feel a little thinner than my older ones. Overall, the quality is good though. One of the little montego style 'x' s on the side was loose so i put some wood glue on it- no big deal. I got two shelves and stacked them to add some storage space in my kitchen. They did wobble a bit side to side (I checked my older shelves, and they do too, fyi), but I put the included brackets on and secured them against the wall and they now feel very sturdy and secure. So, if you buy this shelf, especially multiples & intend to stack, you should plan on using the wall bracket. My only complaint with that is that the instructions said to secure them "against a stud" which is all well and good if the place you want to put them just happens to be where the studs are. Since that is often not the case, I would recommend making sure you have some anchors on hand if you intend to stack the shelves. The company should have included anchors but did not. Otherwise I am very pleased with the product. I like that it is a super tall shelf to maximize space in my small apartment. I also like the flexibility of being able to break it down into two shelves if I wish at some later point. ... show more

This bookshelf looks great and was veryeasy to put together. The fold-down shelves just lock into place with no tools and no stress. It's sturdy, the shelves are a good size, and it feels like it will hold up well. I'm really happy with it.
