These bookcases are of very good quality, I did need some help putting them together, but just because of the quality is of such weight that these are solid and quite substantial. PS,,,I also use these as a collection location for my jig-saw puzzles. These are the words of one very happy new retiree....I've worked since 1 was 14! I love work. Not bad for the money, especially if you're in the market for something that can be folded up and moved easily. They're heavier than I expected.
