We own a production company and studio and we have 4 of these chairs. They have held up great over the 2-3 years we've had them; however one has taken a little more wear and tear than the others and we want to get in touch with the store to inquire about ordering a replacement seat insert. one of them has torn and can no longer be sat in. the body of the chair is still in perfect condition so we would hope not to have to replace the whole chair. Chair did not last one use. Wood split on one of the legs down the middle. I’m very sad, it looked really good and seemed reasonably sturdy once assembled but looks I guess are deceiving.

Got a great deal on mine and I needed a chair that could be stowed when space was needed. This fit the bill perfectly. I was concerned that the fabric seat would rise on the sides too much and feel awkward but it is taut enough where that doesn't seem to be the case. I also like that replacement canvas is available and easy to install so you can change colors as needed. I have my doubts about this as a chair that you can really lean back in and relax with as the fabric back wants to collapse some but sitting upright at a table is just fine. I have no regrets as that is what I bought it for. It is as comfortable as a director's chair could be. My only criticism would be that the foot rest screws in place and prevents you from folding the chair and putting it away. It requires you to unscrew the two screws that hold the foot rest in place to fold it. And for me the foot rest is a must have. Maybe I'll try to find some wing bolts to use instead. Also, the arm rests are just wood so one upgrade I made was to purchase some inexpensive armrest pads that fasten on with velcro. That made a big difference and is a low cost upgrade. ... show more

Really loved the ease of assembly and the sturdiness these chairs offer. They are great to place behind a couch as their height makes them tall enough to see over people seated, which is great for game day or movie gatherings. They also work well for quick additional seating. We have an apartment space and we like to bring them around our kitchen bar/island for additional seating. Guests seem to love telling stories from the “director’s” chair too. While, once you attach the foot rest, they are NOT foldable, I still Highly recommend them. ... show more
