I have a serpent 1/8 RTR buggy that came with atrociously terrible electronics. It was supposedly rated for 6S yes had serious overheating issues on 5200mah 4s packs. I put this esc on there with the stock RTR motor and added a rocket fan on the motor and now it’s running cool as a cucumber on 7200mah 120c 4s packs. Couldn’t believe the difference. The throttle is now noticeably MUCH smoother and INSTANTANEOUS. I have a dumboRC radio on it now which is not terribly fast yet the throttle lag is non-existent with this new esc. I’m blown away. Burned through the new bigger packs and the Cobra ESC was only warm, and the motor with the new fan was hot but I could still comfortably hold my thumb on it. If you want an 1/8 scale ESC that is robust enough to where you don’t have to worry about heat, this is it. CONS: -one of the biggest and heaviest 1/8 ESC’s -GIVE US MORE THROTTLE AND TURBO/BOOST TUNABILITY LIKE HOBBYWING AND OTHER COMPETITION ESC’s HAVE ... show more
