The grill plates on this are cast iron and work nicely. The kit is a nice size and comes with a carry case so it's easy to bring along camping or in an RV. Or if you are using it indoors in a fireplace you can pack it up and store it in a cupboard after it cools down. This is basically two little grills that can be put side by side to make a larger grill. That makes it very convenient and easier to deal with, but can make things not line up if you don't have a flat surface to use this on. You can use these in a lot of ways. If you have a wood burning fireplace it can be used to cook in your living room. If you have a campfire it can be used on the campfire. If you have one of the coal tables uses with dutch ovens you can use it on that. You can make a little fire area with some bricks and use this as the grill. Basically, if you have a safe place for a fire, you can use this. The one thing I don't like is the legs. They work but honestly I'd rather have a different way that everything fit together because when you heat and cool this a bunch of times I'm betting the threads will rust and the legs are a weak point. That hasn't been a problem yet but I haven't used it very much yet either. I'm hoping it isn't actually a problem but if it is I'll update this review.

The Cast Iron Tuscan grill is an awesome little portable grill. It takes minutes to assemble, and minutes to take apart for carrying or storage, by simply screwing on or unscrewing the legs. It comes with a convenient bag to carry the grill along for camping, a hunting trip in the woods etc. It is super convenient for an outdoor grill in the yard or to carry along for an outdoor gathering with family or friends. It is cast iron so of course it can withstand high heat and is the best surface I am aware of for grilling. The surface is large so a lot can be grilled on the cast iron Tuscan grill. It comes with handles that have hooks that go under the grill top to allow movement and repositioning of the grill when in use. I have had a lot of rain in my area, so I haven't been able to use it yet. My only concern would be if the legs of the grill will withstand high heat. They are metal legs, that appear to have an aluminum surface. The description doesn't address what the legs are made of or how they will hold up to heat. I wish the legs were made of cast iron to ensure durability. There are always stones to support the cast iron grill surface if the legs don't hold up, but of course that would defeat the purpose. Overall, I love the Tuscan Cast Iron, extremely portable grill that I can carry along to use anywhere on my large property and I am very happy with it.

The grill is made out of real heavy Iron that's great for BBQ but 1 leg broke after first use. This could be a perfect grill for home and outdoor use if they made the screw in feet more sturdy. I was initially impressed on the quality of this grill until 1 of the screw in stand/feet suddenly fell to the ground & it happened when I'm cooking BBQ on it. I tried screwing it back cause I thought maybe I did not screw it properly before use but after several turns I don't feel any bite on the screw to the grill & that's when I discover that the screw part were detached from the hollow stainless tube feet & the hard part is Im doing this while the metal is hot cause I am using it when it happen. The very tiny weld that held the tube and the screw head cannot withstand the heat & it somehow soften the metal weld and given the heavy Iron grill on top, its just a question of when will the feet fall off. The iron grill is of a good quality but it's useless without the stand/feet on 4 corners.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: These grates make my husband super happy. They are ridiculously heavy but that is a good thing when it comes to grilling! They are made of solid cast iron steel and look a beautiful, dark Grey in color. The legs come unattached but that is as simple as screwing them in the provided holes. We place these on top of already provided grates on grills, minus the legs, as we dont eat meat , and they work wonderfully for helping up to keep the two from mixing. Its great. Easy to clean as well and true to all cast iron products. Soap never touches it. We wash it down in hot water and a metal mesh scrubber. Takes no time at all. Family tested, approved, and recommended

This is a perfect thing to have in the backyard of the cabin - cooking with it is easy, and I just use it in my fire pit, so no mess or fuss....I believe these will last a long time, but will need upkeep to keep them from getting rusty. I would certainly recommend

Awesome cast iron grills! Can be used as one, or both side by side. The legs are chrome and will hold up well over time. They are solid. Screws in the legs easily screw into the metal grill. Took me about 2 minutes to screw in all the legs. Easy peasy! Came with a carry bag and handle. You do need to remove the legs to store it in the bag. It won't go into the bag with the legs scewed on. The bag is strong and will hold the grills without ripping or tearing, and seems like it will hold up over time. The grills are great! They are so strong, in perfect condition with no flaws, no dings, nothing is bent. In excellent condition. The metal is super strong and won't break or bend over time. Holds up to high heat. Came with instructions. Perfect size to cook a meal over open fire. Recently bought a camper and am using this for outdoor cooking at its finest! So excited to get this grill and have it meet all my expectations!
