I am 70 years old and moved from Las Vegas, Nevada to a winter cold area including snow. I needed a comforter that was light weight and did the job of keeping me warm. I no longer have the strength to lift heavy thick heavy comforters. I have paid up to$700 for a down over my lifetime, now my finances are fixed so I have to watch every penny. I was so happy when I took it out of the box as it was indeed lightweight (thinking to myself, shoot this won't work) I went ahead and prepared my bed, (I have a cat and he sleeps on the towel) our temperature during the night dropped to 14, I got up during the night as most elderly do, and I was totally impressed on how chilly it was in my bedroom, yet I was wonderfully toasty in my bed under this comforter. I am so impressed. I hope when it is time to wash it that it comes out as nice as it arrived. Even my beloved yorkies climbed under and enjoyed the warmth. If it turned out to be too warm they will climb out from under and snuggle up to me. I am so impressed with this comforter that when I have another bedroom I will purchase this. I did not give it a 5 star only because I have not washed it yet. I have a regular King mattress on my bed and this comforter fits perfect, so far this comforter (alternate) is as nicely made as any down I have ever owned. Highly recommend it for looks and warmth, if it does not hold up after washing, it is reasonably priced that it can be replaced then I will send it to the cleaner. I and my Yorkies are very pleased. Been using this blanket 6 months I loved it the first night and reviewed it right away with 5 stars and that still holds true. Glad I measured my queen bed across from bottom edge to bottom edge, it was 98" even. I was worried the 98x98 would be a little long still but knew 88x88 would leave me wanting more. After making the bed I feel it fits perfect and I don't think it's too long. I think it's going to be the perfect warmth level for our Wisconsin winters(it was) I like the materials soft fluffy without being too fluffy. Have always had expensive down comforters and was a little nervous to try this but wanted something cheaper but warm for our mountain cabin. I was very surprised at the quality and how comfy it is. The mattress is a Full size and the Queen/Full fits really well; I was worried it was going to be huge and touching the floor but it doesn't. The comforter is soft and comfortable and doesn’t make a lot of noise like some do. If fact, there is no noise at all. The tabs are great for attaching the duvet cover and it seems very well made. I wish it was just a tad bit wider but my mattress is very thick and also has a 4” memory foam pad on it. Should fit a normal king sized bed nicely.
