  • Love this watch, I have two
This watch does everything that it’s showing to do, I have the pink version that came from Japan that was $700 it’s the same watch as this one and I got this one for work, this watch I believe I paid $320 for plus tax and it works flawlessly It has a barometer, compass, altimeter, it has everything and everything works plus the nice part is it is solar powered and you don’t need to replace batteries they’ll last for probably 10 years if you take care of it and then those batteries at that point can still be replaced but after 10 years you might want another one I know $300 for a watch sounds like a lot of money but it’s so much more than just a time piece and they’re rugged as hell I’ve used these watches from G-Shock for decades and they just keep getting better and better, the reason the pink one was so expensive is because it was a limited edition from Japan and they offered those in a couple of rare colors and I just liked the dark pink and so my wife bought it for my birthday and surprised me but for work I prefer black The case and the band are black but it’s not a shiny black it’s a flat black, the face is black behind the crystal and the numbers are dark in the data but you can still read them easily, I like the automatic light where you just hold the light button down for three seconds and then it puts it in auto mode and hold it another three seconds and it turns it back to manual mode sometimes at night it’s nice to have it on automatic because when you rotate your wrist forward and then rotate it back where you can read the time the light comes on for one second or three seconds which you can adjust as well this watch is amazing nobody makes a heavy duty watch better than Casio ... show more

  • Worth the purchase
I think the only thing I didn't really like about this piece was it doesn't have a step counter. Outside of that I really do appreciate the style and the simplicity of the display. It is light weight for the size. I have never been someone to wear a watch due to having to change batteries. Or with the smart watches having to charge every few hours and not able to wear it when charging sigh defeats the purpose of a watch. But this watch's battery should last I believe around 10 years and even though it is on the larger side it still manages to blend well into whatever you wear it is very understated and that is what I appreciate about it the fact that it isn't a flashy piece screaming look at me I love the matte finish of the case and strap. Its hard to find highly functional piece that isn't Bluetooth or a smart watch. The fact that you can have multiple useful functions without having to worry about a source of charging the watch is nice. Even though it is considered a man's piece it still can be worn on a smaller wrist and doesn't look out of place on a female. As I am not into smaller pieces for women they are usually more casual to dress watches but not durable for an active life style. I'm not hard on my things but I don't want a time piece that I have to constantly be aware of. When it comes to day to day activity and one that I have to be reminded of to treat with exceptional care and having to take off just to wash my hands rinse dishes for the dishwasher or even to take a shower I wanted and needed a piece that I can put on forget about until I need it. This does the job perfectly ... show more

  • Really beautiful G-Shock
Just as described! Beautiful watch, big size, easy to set up. Its a bit hard to read in low light but just press the light button and have a perfect contrast.

  • Excellent watch. Hard to update with Atomic Time server.
Watch arrived Feb 2024 1.5 minutes fast. It showed it last synced with Atomic Server June 2023 so that's expected as it comes in a metal box. It's supposed to update nightly and sync with the server but it requires a strong signal. Leaving it in a window overnight didn't work. I physically had to go outside and face Denver and do a manual sync. 5 minutes with a steady strong signal (L3) did the trick. It's a little hard to read since it's blacked out, but I love the look and size of the watch since I have large wrists/hands. I especially like this because my work doesn't allow bluetooth devices and this is better than a simple Timex. Extremely high quality. I'd say keep an eye on it before buying. I got it for $240 and a week later it's selling for $217. ... show more

  • Love the watch, just 2 things
First of all, as a Marine, I Love this watch. I was looking for something very discrete and stealth without all the smart bells and whistles (pedometer, heart rate etc.) so I’m not beeping when running a soft knock target. I did however want all the useful bells and whistles for me personally (Solar powered, altimeter, barometer, temp, sunset/rise, etc.) The only two things I wish they did a bit differently would be the sizing and the legibility. I’m a small guy at 5’7” 160lbs, you can see a comparison of my old g-shock I bought in Afghanistan back in 2011 and this new one is quite a bit larger than I’m used to but I’m getting used to it. The legibility is the other thing, I know with the light I don’t exactly need it but you can see from my video how you need to have a little light on the face to be able to see it in daylight. Which is one thing if stealth is what they were going for. Unfortunately that point is rendered moot by the glare of acrylic face of the watch which still mirrors/projects a significant reflection. If they had a matte face to reduce it that would’ve been cool. I usually just buy clear matte vinyl that I’ll cut and stick over the face to get rid of the glare. Hope this helps someone. ... show more
