The piano also includes key action sounds, key off simulation, adjustable hammer response, and a lid simulator with four positions. The PX-870 also includes string resonance, which exposes the sympathetic harmonic relationships between vibrating strings. Along with adding to the subtle beauty of the sound, this adds authenticity when playing works by Debussy, Ravel, and other composers who wrote with string resonance in mind. The PX-870 features a variety of 19 instrument Tones, with the ability to layer and split them as needed. With a generous 256 notes of polyphony, you can rest assured that even the most complex performances will sound perfectly natural. WELL-PLAYED The acclaimed Tri-Sensor II Scaled Hammer Action piano keys give you the expression your performance deserves. The simulated ebony and ivory textures give you an authentic and comfortable touch, combined with an innovative hammer action that is accurately scaled across the entire key range. WELL-HEARD The PX-870’s innovative new Sound Projection system fills the room with rich, detailed sound. This powerful 40-watt, 4-speaker system is designed to envelop the listener and audience with sound emanating from various places on the instrument, just as it would on a traditional grand piano. The Volume Sync EQ ensures that you hear a balanced, clear sound across the entire frequency range, at any listening volume. WELL-EDUCATED The PX-870's convenient features are useful at home, in a lesson studio, or anywhere else. You can connect two sets of headphones using the Œ” jacks on the front panel, making the PX-870 ideal for quiet practice. A unique Headphone Mode optimizes the PX-870's sound for headphone use. Duet Mode splits the piano into two equal pitch ranges, allowing a student and teacher to sit at the same instrument. 60 songs are included in the built-in Music Library, with room for ten additional songs of your choice. You can also record your performances using the PX-870’s two- track MIDI recorder. Concert Play allows you to play along with ten recordings of well-known orchestral pieces, with the ability to either listen to the piano part or silence it so you can play it yourself. • Good price, good sound, needs a small space.
Size: Bundle w/ Furniture Bench Color: Black
A very good unit for the money. It is for my grandson who is 5 years old. This will give him a quality instrument to practice on. The headphones are a must! They save the rest of the family. 😉

  • Best digital piano under $2,000 bringing it back with me overseas
Size: Bundle w/ Furniture Bench Color: Black
I visited my family overseas and I found they had gotten a second hand acoustic upright piano. I enjoyed playing it so much since I missed my old keyboard back home. Taking into consideration that my keyboard was an old Yamaha psr e403 that I got when I was 10 (15 years ago) it was definitely time for an upgrade. I am an ocasional intermediate player so getting an acoustic piano that started at $5,000 was a no no. I decided to go with a digital piano, my budget was anything below $2,000. After almost a week of research and comparisons, I narrowed my search down to the Casio AP-470 and the Casio PX-870. The major difference between both of those was the wooden stand, the ap-470 had a “taller” section above the keys resembling a more upright piano look. And also that it had 2 grand piano tones instead of one. Everything else was virtually the same. From keys to speakers. For a price difference of $500, I decided to go with the PX-870. Shipping was quick. Box was heavy (including the bench). I am taking this to my home in other country, shipping it directly to my hometown or purchasing it there was much much more expensive than taking it back with me via oversized package on my airline. I decided to open it to check everything I ordered was there and that the piano actually worked, because once I am home I will not be able to send it back lol. Everything came as described, I decided to take the piano portion out without the stand and plug it into the power so I could play it and see how it felt and sounded. I must say the keys feel the same as the acoustic piano my family has. The weight and scale are fantastic. Sound is amazing and the wooden touch is impecable. This piano is worth all the money it costs. You’re getting, in my opinion, the best digital piano under $2,000. Tips for shipping it overseas with an airline: When taking this piano back home I decided to do it with my airline as extra baggage. The shipping costs you’ll pay will be: oversized fee and extra weight fee. Most airlines allow up to 70 pounds on extra baggage, after 70 you have to pay. Since I cannot make the box smaller I focused on the weight. What I did was to remove the extra box that comes with the piano in the furniture bench version. That box is almost 10 pounds. I left in the box only the piano, the pedal piece and the back covers. Anything else I fixed it in my regular baggage. I wrapped everything inside the box with bubble wrap and managed to make it weight 68 pounds. Make sure to put enough bubble wrap to avoid anything from breaking. If you have the extra +$200 to pay for overweight and the additional oversize, ship it as it is. I will be uploading some pictures once I assemble it at my home. ... show more

  • Execellent piano for the money
Size: Bundle w/ Furniture Bench Color: Black
I am not a pianist but did a lot of research, primarily in two areas, 1, key action and 2, sound synthesis, and in both areas PX-870 is leaps and bounds ahead of any other well known brand (ie. Yamaha, Roland and Kawai) for the price. I am not a good judge of key action but my son's piano teacher says that its darn close to a grand piano action and better than any under 5k uprights. As for sound, its brilliant. If one have the opportunity, listen to the built in midi samples. They sound rich, complex and real (as real as it gets with speakers instead of strings). Sympathetic string resonance, damper resonance, key action sounds and a 40W 4 speaker system. The only thing I could compare it to is CLP635. CLP636 looks like a proper musical instrument and PX-870 does not. Don't get me wrong, it looks stunning but no where close to how a Yamaha looks. Having said that I can as well save up the remaining $2.7K and pay to good tutor for my kid's education, which is what I need the piano for anyway. As a side effect there is no distracting screen, which gives the instrument a very neat appearance. I would have preferred no labels as well since you can do all the customization you need via the IOS or Android app, and there are a lot of features one can geek out with. Minor gripe, I would have loved if the piano could retain the settings and not reset every time it is turned on (or may be I have overlooked some setting to do so) because the built in Jazz piano sound is like an espresso shot, would love to have it as default. Finally Austin Bazaar was amazing and got my anxious kids super happy when they saw the box in under 2 days in front of the door. ... show more

  • Great but IMPOSSIBLE to assemble
Size: Bundle w/ Furniture Bench Color: Black
I got this piano as an upgrade from my previous "beginner" level digital piano as my skills improved and my desire for something with weighted keys increased. Say hello to the PX-870. This thing is wonderful for the price, as the key-action is great, the speakers are great, the audio samples are great, the controls are convenient and non-intusive, the thing looks great, even the music stand is solid! So, why rate this a four? Well, good luck assembling it. The 870 includes hard-to-find, poorly translated assembly instructions for the stand, hidden inside of one of two massive "road map" style quote-on-quote "quick start guides," on the fourth page! Also the included headphones broke immediately out of the box. But knowing it's a bundle deal meant mostly for the piano bench, I wasn't exactly expecting hi-fi, so you get what you get. Overall, I really am happy with the Px-870, and will enjoy using it for many years to come. Assembly was difficult but possible with two sets of hands, and I have other headphones. ... show more

  • This is a wonderful piano
Size: Bundle w/ Furniture Bench Color: Black
This is a wonderful piano. Real feel, real sound, real pedals. Plus you can record to a USB flash drive. Many more features you might not be interested in, but they're there in case you want to sound like a string orchestra, for example.

  • Great value
Size: Bundle w/ Furniture Bench Color: Black
I've had the PX-870 for a couple of months now and so far I'm very pleased with it. I'm not an experienced player but the action feels great to me, and encourages me to play more. There is a touch response setting that you can adjust if desired, but I haven't messed with it. One of the advantages of a digital piano is having multiple sounds available to you, enabling you to tailor the sound to the song you're playing, and while I love the "Concert Grand" piano, I've already found uses for the "Bright Grand" and "Modern Piano" sounds as well. I tend to prefer a brighter sound, but this also has a "Mellow Grand" for those who prefer that, and the "Concert Grand" is somewhere in between bright and mellow. As yet I haven't utilized the organs, electric pianos, strings, etc., so can't really comment much on them, but they are there. I had to get a midiplus usb midi host controller in order to use this to control my synthesizer, as the synth just has the standard midi input jacks (no usb), and the PX-870 only has usb midi, but it works just fine. I do have one complaint though: while you can select the midi send channel on the PX-870, you cannot select a midi channel for receiving data; instead the piano automatically receives data on all 16 midi channels, and unfortunately you cannot change this. This will not be an issue for most users, but it can be a problem if the PX-870 is part of a complex midi setup. On another note, the piano was a bit of a pain to put together but I did it by myself; most people will probably want to do it with a helper. The only negative thing I have to say is that a few times I've noticed "clicking" noises (for lack of a better word) seeming to come from the keys, but they weren't particularly loud and didn't last. If this becomes a problem in the future I'll update this review. As of now though I would say this is a great value. I did a fair amount of research before purchasing, listening to YouTube demos, etc., and I don't regret my choice at all. Update: I've had this piano for 3 years now and still love it. The clicking noises I mentioned above have not returned. ... show more

  • Great digital piano for the money
Size: Bundle w/ Furniture Bench Color: Black
I’m just a beginner, but this feels and sounds like an acoustic piano to me. Plenty good for learning piano. The vendor, Austin Bazzar shipped it super fast... 2 day prime delivery. Plus they send an email asking if everything arrived OK making certain you are satisfied. So, AB certainly gets 5 golden stars! Regarding the piano, it’s fine. Nice and compact, but has big sound. The assembly instructions are TERRIBLE, they’re even hard to find, LOL, but that’s not ABs fault. I believe there are YouTube vids on how to assemble the thing. Assembly is not difficult at all... a few screws here, a few there, slide in the keyboard and you’re done...no big deal. If ya wanna learn piano, this is plenty good! ... show more

  • Nice!
Size: Bundle w/ Furniture Bench Color: Black
I have played piano for many years and wanted to get back into it after many more years of not playing. This piano is perfect for my needs, which is to just play every now and then on an intermediate level. The weight is perfect, and sure, it doesn’t have the character of a solid string piano, but it also weighs much less, is much cheaper, has a headphone jack and many cool instruments to mess around with. The app that comes with it helps you adjust the sound more but most people will not need this. The piano sounds are gorgeous. So highly recommend this for anyone wanting to get back into piano playing with something that won’t break the bank. The chair that comes with it is solid too. ... show more
