Description

With full 200M WR, Shock Resistant, 24Hr stopwatch and countdown timer, standard issue never looked this good. Black resin band digital watch with black face. CasioWith the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward.

  • Especially for the price, a useful, long lasting product.
This is the 2nd time I've purchased this watch. The 1st lasted 8 yrs, survived two infantry deployments to include a combat deployment, survived countless high velocity impacts with hard surfaces, and sustained only a few minor scratches on the lens in the process. The high lens glass toughness compared to most phone screens is a credit to Casio and an embarrassment for phone manufacturers. Over the years most of the logo and label letter paint rubbed out. They're textured and still legible up close. The watch band never sustained any visible damage. I only had to change the battery once the entire time I owned it. When it broke, it was only because the water resistant seals had finally wore out, and I showered while wearing it. The lens subsequently fogged up from the inside. An hour or so later the watch shorted out. If I hadn't exposed it to that concentrated humidity in its old age, I'm confident it would have lasted quite a bit longer. It had been showered with and fully submerged in corrosive pool and rain water countless times with no difficulties during the first 5 yrs of its life. It has a number of easily accessible and useful built in features to include a stop watch and alarm. Once one gets used to these features he or she can easily use the audible beep feature to, for instance, switch from clock mode to stopwatch mode and start/stop the stopwatch without looking at the watch. I've used the glow feature many times as a subtle makeshift flashlight during training for quick reading in the dark to minimize the risk of too much light being a target indicator. It worked well and didn't seem to significantly reduce the battery life. The lack of reflective metallic surfaces makes it an ideal infantry watch. It's high durability and stopwatch makes it an ideal watch for a gym environment. Overall it's an impressive combination of low cost, high quality, durability and utility. ... show more

  • THE BEST, CASIO G-SHOCK
AWESOME G-SHOCK, YOU CAN ALLWAYS TRUST IN THIS CASIO, THE BEST YOU CAN BUY...

  • Awesome G-Shock watch!
This watch is a G-shock, which felt great on my medium sized wrist and it was durable. I dropped it several times and there were no scratches, performance hit or marks from the drops. I like the black and gold design which mixed well with each other. Once, I left it out in the heat for an hour or so, which I thought would break but it felt hot and didn't take any performance hit. The seconds bar helped me to time seconds in my own job. Also, it is water-proof, which worked after putting it in a bucket of water but I wouldn't recommend you to test it since you increase the likely to accidentally breaking your watch. A con I have for this watch is that when it is really hot and humid, your wrist would feel sweat sticking to the watch and on your wrist after taking it off. Overall, this watch is a G-Shock that is worth its cost. I love the design and the functionality of it, which helped me to do things I want physically and not worrying about breaking my watch. ... show more

  • Read the manual for all details before choosing a watch.
This is a good watch. It is, however, a lesson in one needing to read the manual before choosing a product. Casio makes lots of good watches. I was replacing an older unit that worked well for years but whose face was finally too hard to red through. The new watch does not have everything the old watch did, becasue Id id not study carefully enough. Specifically: 1. It does not have a solar power capability. The old one had a battery which was topped up by the sun. I never replaced it. The new one will last a year or two. 2. The old one could have the battery replaced by the user. The new one says one must go to a dealer or watch shop. Not feasible in my case. 3. The old one stored the last 50 or 100 uses of the stopwatch, so one could go back and get old data out, certainly for the last few days. The new one requires the data be recorded before the stopwatch is even turned off. Much less useful, particularly for water use. 4. It took reading the fine print in the manual to confirm that the watch would work for my purpose (snorkeling). There is in the manual a table that shows what should be imprinted on the back of the watch to use for in-water uses as opposed to just handling rain well. 5. Casio's problem - the online version of the manual lacks the last few pages of the manual, including the critical table noted above. Lesson: download and read the manual before choosing which watch to buy. I would have bought a different Casio had I done so. The text on Amazon is not enough detail. ... show more

  • Easily worth the 60 bucks....
Just got my GShock today....very nice. It looks better then I thought it would. My first GShock, and it has me wanting to buy an analog GShock now, maybe one of those nice looking $150 ones.

  • Bought it prior to Navy Basic
This thing is definitely what I needed. It has your basic timer, stopwatch, alarm, LED for nights. My cousin has one and recommended it to me back when I enlisted in the Navy and needed a basic good all black watch for bootcamp. This never failed me, I didn't hear the alarm all the time, but maybe I was just so tired and always in a too deep sleep at night to hear it. It was easy for me to quickly switch to timer and stopwatch when I needed it. I also kept it on during showers and never had an issue with it. it even survived a wash during basic one time when I left it in my pt clothes the one time I ever took it off and forgot it on accident lol. It's not bad and the straps don't bother me even when I'd sweat excessively never rubbed, chaffed or left rashes like some material does. Just keep it clean and you're good. It's been over a year and I still have it and works like I just got it. Good purchase 👍🏻 ... show more

  • Phenomenal Watch
Purchased in Nov 2017. Battery JUST died today (04/06/26). Trustworthy watch. It has been banged up so many times over the years. Definitely worth the purchase.

  • Budget watch built to last!
I’m writing this review over 7 years after I originally purchased this watch. I always said I’d write a review whenever it died on me, and about a week ago it finally did. This watch has served me well nearly every single day. I have shot firearms with it on. I’ve fished with it and fallen out of boats with it on. I’ve worked in a factory with it, smashing it on things all day. I’ve worked outdoors in the freezing cold, and sweltering hot with it. For the last three years I have worked on the water aboard vessels with it, still smashing it on things daily. This watch has never let me down. I genuinely have not had a single complaint about it the entire time I’ve owned it, which is rare for any product you own, especially for as long as I’ve owned this one. For the price I paid for it 7 years ago, it’s only gone up less than $10 which surprised me. I originally paid $45 for it. This watch even at the price they’re asking for now is completely worth it. If you want a watch the can be beat up every day and continue ticking for at least 7 years before you need a new battery, look no further! ... show more
