  • Awesome watch!!!! 5 stars.
This watch is awesome!! Well worth the money! Tough, blacked out, and solar. No need to replace the battery every 2 years losing the water-seal. This watch is from Japan, and came in a cool box with a small pillow. The watch has a soft rubber band, its feels very smooth and comfortable, unlike those HORRIBLE RESIN and SILICON bands. Today was 92 and I didn't even notice the band. Even though its blacked out, it is easy to read the time and has a light for darkness. Some people have whined about the display, that's why they have pictures on Amazon before you buy it. I had the DW5600MS-1CR but returned it when Casio said the battery only last 2 years. Then when its replaced you might lose the seal. For $50 more I got this incredible watch. I am still amazed how comfortable the rubber band is, I don't understand why they use resin bands, they are very uncomfortable in the heat, and when its cold they stiffen up.The buttons on this watch are very easy to use and your fingers wont go numb from setting the watch. The blacked out face looks great, its one bad a$$ watch. It came with a high charge and I put it in direct sunlight for 20 minutes to keep it highly charged. I looked at Seiko solar and Citizen Eco Drive, but I know they cant handle being under water, and you have to be careful not to crack the watch face. For $141 it is well worth the price. It also has a great size, and a perfect fit. The display size is very easy to read, and simple to set, you don't need a degree from MIT to figure out the watch. This watch deserves 6 stars and the seller is great as well. If you are going to spend $100 on a Gshock, spend the extra money and get this watch, you wont regret it. ... show more

  • Wow! This watch is amazing!
I bought this watch to use for work since I don’t want to scratch up my expensive $800 Apple watch. After wearing it for a week I started to like it more than the smart watches that have all the bells and whistles. This watch is durable, dependable, and good looking. The convenience of having a watch that is almost indestructible, never has dead batteries, and always has the correct time with no input is HUGE. I can’t think of another watch that is like this one. It’s just what you need and nothing more. No annoying software updates, worrying about dead batteries, or bugs. I have gotten more excitement out of this simple watch then any smart watch I have owned. I think I even read somewhere that this watch or one of their watches similar to this one made it into the Guinness World Records. To me this watch has 10 times more value then most other watches you will ever see even if this is not the most expensive option. One feature I noticed that I did not see before is how it conserves power by turning off the face when left untouched overnight. As soon as you pick it up in the morning the screen turns back on and will stay on the rest of the day while it is on your wrist. I have not had any issue reading the numbers with the black background. I wouldn’t say it’s the easiest to read of all watches but it’s good enough. My only complaint (and it’s really not that big of an issue) is that the paper instructions in the box are all in Chinese. You should be able to look up instructions in English online if you need too. Hope this helps anyone with their decision on purchasing this watch! I give it a 10 out of 10 :) ... show more

  • I love this watch
I have an apple watch that recently died. The apple watch was cool but I didn't use half of the stuff on it, and I don't like how much meta data it collects about my life. When it recently died I considered a garmin and the casio. I chose to go with the Casio and I'm glad I did. This watch is light weight, strong, water proof, shock resistant, does not notify me 10,000 times per day, doesn't die every night and need a recharge, doesn't collect personal data. It's just a watch, the solar power and atomic time are amazing features and it also has world time which I have no use for, as well as 5 alarms, a stop watch and count down timer. To me this is the quintessential every day bang around the house and yard watch. The negative display is not easy to read in low light, but I do think it's a little bit sleeker than the standard display. ... show more
