This is a fantastic watch. It is functional, sturdy, & alluring. The GA-100 models are some of the most appealing & versatile watches that Casio offers. I received a fake several years back (NOT from Amazon) & having never previously owned a G-Shock, its authenticity was initially not under suspect. I obliviously wore this imposterous gadget for a few months before becoming completely exasperated with its baffling time keeping inconsistencies. The hands would randomly change their positions when I used basic functions, so I’d have to reset them several times a week. After I had my fill of this ridiculousness, I tossed it into an old shoebox & forgot all about it until it recently resurfaced. Now that I own several G-shocks, my accrued familiarity helped me in recognizing that something wasn’t right (plastic crystal being a major telltale), & I soon knew it for what it was. I decided to get the real artifact in order to remove the taste of artificial G-shock outta my mouth, & it did. Instantly. This watch is a sight to behold & a joyance to wear. I have a 7 & 1/2 inch wrist & prefer larger watches, & the size did not disappoint. The detail & geometry within the dial are well done, as well as the deceptive simplicity of its operation. This G shock most definitely lives up to it's heritage! I looked at many so called tough watches before this one. For the price it can't be beat some that where a lot more expensive but none any tougher. My biggest problem is the back light not all that useful in the dark. It works but hard to see at just a glance. This was my first G shock and have been very pleased with it I've put it through some punishment given my profession. I'm a tradesman I've knocked banged and pulled it every way but loose! That band held together just fine like the 2 prong on the band gives it extra stability. Also have had it completely submerged in not.just water but muddy water and snow. The price is definitely right I reccomend it to anyone it def made for all those working men amd women out there or people enjoy the outdoors. Only drawback is setting it up it can get frustrating the manual helps but it is still tough get date and time just right. It's also very comfortable espiccally given it's size. All in all a wonderful gift for someone else or touself ... show more

I love G-Shocks! They’re accurate and dependable. Rugged and look good. And they don’t cost a fortune. Fairly easy to set with a bit of help from YouTube and the owner’s manual. Had to figure out how to set the DST (daylight savings time) feature to, “auto,” as it was initially an hour behind after I set it up, but only took a couple of minutes of tinkering. As a career railroader, who dislikes constantly synchronizing watches, these atomic (or radio controlled) watches are excellent. The price was right - maybe around $70 after taxes. Added bonus, I love the contrast of the green on black. Have been a longtime fan of the band, “Type O Negative,” and I think this watch pays homage to them very well. Nice job, Casio! ... show more

The watch is sturdy and the color is attractive. The watch came in a box with a cardboard insert. Not the tin that it shows in the advertisement. Also it doesn’t pass the three button test where when you press the three buttons at the same time the watch is supposed to light. This makes me unsure if the watch is real or a fake. I love the white color on this watch. It’s so easy to read, it’s lightweight, and the hour markers look amazing and I really like the blue accent around the dial. I’ve had the all black version of this watch and it’s been great too, but I’m in love with this white one. I don’t know why people complain about the light not lighting up the lcd display. When do you need to use a timer or stopwatch in the dark?? The light is plenty good enough to show you the time when you wake up in the middle of the night. 5 stars. ... show more
