I do recommend this watch with the exception of getting the other scheme of the display. Grey with black letters and numbers is a better choice. It is a Casio G-shock. It fulfills it's purpose of being a brutally tough time telling device. The solar plus atomic ability is just a bonus to the rigidity of this watch. If you need a watch that can make it through the end of the world, this watch is for you.

This is my 1st G-Shock and overall I'm very pleased with it however there is a problem. I have to turn the watch to certain angles in order to see the characters in daylight. The numbers are silver instead of white and against the black background they're difficult to see at a glance. I wish that I had chosen one with traditional hands instead of all digital characters. ... show more

Got this as a gift for my husband for his birthday/father's day. He is a truck driver and is rough on the watch but it is very durable and he wears it everyday.
