  • Great watch, great price!
Color: Black
I really like this watch, it's tough and accurate, which is what I really needed to have something more than breakable watches. I really like the features and its size, not too big for a small wrist as mine. Perhaps the night light could be a little better to also let you see the LCD screens, but this is not a big deal for me. I can see the time just fine in the dark, (either by using the light in the watch or just by how cool it glows!) which is all I care about in the dark. Overall, I am really happy with this watch, it looks like a high end watch too! ... show more

  • Great watch
Color: Black
You can't beat a watch that is always accurate & charges everytime you're outside. It looks great too. Nice size for a gshock. I don't really use it for anything but time & date so can't speak of other functions. This is my second version of same watch. First version was blue bezel with reverse led. I didn't have a problem with reverse led but standard led is so much better. First watch fogged up first time I got in the ocean & many other occasions. Current watch has been in the ocean and had many other submergances with absolutely no fogging. I've only had this watch for 3 months and I'm much happier. First watch must've just been a lemon...but that lemon did last 3 years. ... show more

  • Great, comfortable watch but apparently came with defect
Color: Black
I like being able to comfortably wear it day and night and all the features EXCEPT — I can’t get the alamr/signal chime to sound. I’m an old broadcaster and accurate time keeping is essential to me. After almost a week, it appears the sync with radio time is perfect. I would exchange this watch for the same model in hopes the chime would sound but I use my phone for alarms, timers and such. Anyway I have read the chime is too soft to be practical. UPDATE: I returned the watch and bought another digital G-Shock model.. If I didn't have the issue with no sound, I would definitely have kept it. The GW 2300 comes with an “Amazon’s Choice” label that I have found to be very reliable in the past. After a few days, I also found it annoying to try to see the analog hands on the GW-100. I just think the 2300 will better suit my needs. I’m not picky but I expect all the functions to work when I pay $100 for a watch! ... show more

  • Amazing analog g shock with just 1 problem
Color: Black
I love that this watch has multiband 6 and is solar powered. I have not had any issues with it syncing every night. The hour hand being red makes it really easy to tell the time at a glance. The watch does have lume on the hour and minute hand as well as all of the hour markers. The lume is not too bright but if your eyes are adjusted to the darkness you will be able to read it at night. My only complaint is that the light is orange and I like that because if you do need the light to tell what time it is at night it does not blind you. But the main issue is that the subdials are not illuminated by the light. I have set a timer and have not been able to see how much time I have left without turning on a light or using my phone to shine a light on the watch, which at that point I might as well use my phone for the timer. Also another minor gripe is the lume on the minute hand is all the way at the end and it is almost the same size as the hour markers. At night I can tell the hours easily but some times I need to tilt my wrist to see where the minute hand is if it is on one of the hours at that time. I say minor gripe because you can use the light to see where the minute hand is easily because of it being white it shows very easily when the light is activated. Overall my favorite analog g shock yet. I just wish the subdials where lit by the light in the watch and it would be a 5 star rating. ... show more

  • Has some drawbacks.
Color: Black
Have worn Gshocks for years. This one has a red hour hand and a white minute hand. I find it difficult to see under certain conditions, especially at night. Would be better with both hands as white.

  • Great casual daily-wear watch.
Color: Black
I really like this watch, and it is now my daily wear watch since I retired. I needed a change of pace from the huge, heavy Omega Seamaster that my wife gave me as an anniversary gift several decades ago. I really like this Casio G-Shock because it looks cool, weighs essentially nothing, seems robust, is accurate to about half a second a day - more than I'll ever need, resets itself daily to the Ft Collins Cesium atomic clock, is solar powered so it never needs battery swaps, and the price point is good. Also, this particular model is a somewhat smaller than the other solar-atomic watches in the Casio G-Shock line - see my answer on the size of the watch in the questions section - which works well on my relatively narrow wrist (6.4" circumference). I've been wearing it for about 2 weeks and would love to give it a 5-star review, but I think 4 stars is fairer because if partially fails at the most basic thing a watch should do: display the time so that it can be ready easily at a glance. In full light this watch is excellent in that respect, but in the half light at the ends of the day, overcast skies, and inside a dim building, it takes more than a glance to tell the time and read the three small digital displays (seconds, date, battery charging level, etc.). The comments in other reviews that the red hour hand is hard to see are correct, in dim light. Also, a second hand would have been nice. That said, I can live with these issues, and the red hour hand gives it character, but it still deserves a demerit. All in all, a great, casual watch for the watch-loving man who wants something different, but if you want a simple, easy to read watch, uncluttered by unneeded extraneous dials and displays, get a good field watch instead. ... show more
