I was hesitant to buy this bag because the lack of photos. It’s exactly what I was needing. I’m a trail guide and need to keep a first aid kit in my bag at all times. I’ve taken to keeping it in the insulated part as it’s clunky and fits in there perfectly. I’m able to keep a smart water bottle in the bottle holder without it being too big. I keep my phone in the other because women’s pants don’t have big enough pockets. That brings me to the four stars. I wish there was a spot safe enough for my phone so I wasn’t taking from the water. I’m always on the trail and kinda need that second bottle of water. As it is I put it in with the first aid kit and take it out when I need it. I’m able to keep a few snacks with me and a hoof pick. It seems sturdy enough. Doesn’t get in my way. It doesn’t move around. I run my breast collar in the bag to hold the bag down better. I’ve used it for a week now and it has held up to the long days. ***Update*** I'm still using this bag almost 2 years later. It's held up wonderfully and is easy to clean. I still feel like it would be better with a designated phone pocket but the bottle holder does the job just fine. I'm strongly considering buying the rest of the matching set. ... show more

Bought as Christmas present for my wife. She does a lot of trail riding and this saddlebag should be perfect for her. Convenient place for large water bottles, insulated pouch on other side for sandwiches. Exterior pockets for cell phone, glasses, map, horse treats, snack bar, etc. Bags appear to be well made, heavy construction, I expect them to last a long time. TRIGGER WARNING for you more sensitive folks. There is a great, quick access pocket that is a perfect fit for her S&W MP 38 cal. How many times have you bought a horn bag that does not hold up, or sags from one side to the other because of uneven weight distribution? This pommel bag is awesome! The pockets are easy to get into. It is very roomy, but but has a stiffer feel to it so it is not sagging down the side. You can carry large bottles of water! There is insulation in the main pocket, but that can be removed for more room. Water bottle compartments are insulated. I love this bag!! ... show more

This is the handiest saddle bag in the world!!! Don't get on a horse or a mule without one. I spent two months riding a mule along the old El Camino Real mission trail that extends from Loreto MX to El Descanso MX. My Cashel Saddlebag contained water (essential in the Sonora desert), emergency satellite phone (lots of narcos out there), and emergency medical kit (rattlers and scorpions) ,,, cactus along the trail was head high and ripped my shirt to shreds, and tore my skin, but this Cashel saddlebag was puncture proof. Love this! It has the clip to keep your keys secure. I’ve panicked in the past digging through my old horn bag and then discovered my keys at the bottom of the bag. The bottle holders slots hold my Gatorade bottles perfectly! I wish I would have bought one sooner!

These horn bags are fabulous. I bought the hot leaf camo for myself awhile back and my husband really liked the bag so he's getting the camouflage as part of an anniversary gift. I absolutely love this bag. It is everything I needed at a very good price. I wasn't too thrilled about the thought of camo on my saddle, but I actually really liked the colors. They are not as vibrant as the ones in the picture and are more subtle, which I found perfect. Only complaint would be where the removable insulated bag is, I would have liked a zipper closure over it as opposed to a couple thick straps. But it still keeps my phone in at a gallop, so that's what matters. ... show more
