I absolutely LOVE these reins! They are very well made, and the leather is not stiff at all! They have a very buttery and soft feel about them. I use them for trail riding, but also have done a little jumping with them. My mare is a 15 hh Quarter Horse and she can put her nose nearly to the ground with the reins on the longest length. Better than I thought too! These are buttery soft in your hands, but have a bit of a grip, so they are very sensitive. The length is perfect, but if you'd like them shorter, they are adjustable, with holes along one side already spaced for easy adjustments. They are a perfect length for my horse, so I can drape them over the horn and cue him with legs only, when desired. ... show more

These are excellent. Simply made from nice quality materials. They have a great feeling in hand, firm but not rough or abrasive, just the right amount of friction for gentle steady pressure. The length is easy to adjust and I like being able to unclip a rein so easily. Great product.
