I was a bit unsure if this would work well or not as I have had others that just don’t do well. This thing freakin works! I have a 2 year old golden retriever, and she does sit well for nail grinds which makes things smoother. It is not loud. I went off of the reviews on Amazon and decided to give it a try. I am very happy with the power this dremel has. We have 3 dogs and this dremel keeps its power strong for all 3. It's more quiet than a dremel I bought from Lowe's and just as powerful. I like that I can take off the protective cap. The light is a definite great feature that helps you see the quick better. It charges quickly and nicely. It fits nicely in your hand. One of my dogs has long Grinch hair on her feet and I accidentally got her fur caught in the dremel. It stopped automatically and quickly. I first had a cheap dremel from a different brand to see if dremeling my dogs nails was for me, and I upgraded to this one that would be more powerful and effective. It definitely is, and works great! I love the light on it and it’s super good quality. It of course is going to make some noise, but it’s very quiet. My one issue with it however is that it does not hold a charge. It will be fully charged and I won’t even use it, it will be turned off, but a few days later if I want to use it the battery is dead. It has been that way out of the box. I can get around it by putting the dremel on the charger whenever I know I’m going to trim my dogs nails, but I do have to sit and wait a few hours which is inconvenient. I still love the grinder, it’s just mildly annoying to have to charge rather than spontaneously use it whenever I remember that the dogs nails need to be done. ... show more

This grinder was a lot quieter than those I’ve tried in the past. I’m now able to do my dogs nails at home without any issues of making them scared. The grinder is adjustable in speed, keeps a charge, easy to handle, and recharges easily after many uses. Very pleased with this product.
