Check the measurements and make sure this is tall enough for your TV if you intend to put your TV on it and not just hang your TV above this on a wall. It is very small, under 20 inches tall, which is likely going to be too short for most setups to actually hold a TV for optimal viewing. I’m sharing a picture of this stand with a few 5 gallon water bottles beside it to help you visualize the height. The top is not a single piece, but three pieces that don’t fit completely flush together. I’m sharing a photo of the top to show what it looks like, including the slightly dented piece I received. Assembly is required, but was not difficult. If you need a budget TV stand and are not concerned about the low height, this could be a good solution. This could work well for a viewing area with very low seating, or to hold gaming consoles or other accessories while hanging the TV above the stand. Overall, I am a little disappointed with the size and quality of the fake wood boards, but this is a prime example of “you get what you pay for”. At under 60 dollars in our current economy it’s a budget solution.

The Casaottima TV Stand arrives as an unassembled kit in a rectangular box measuring about 18” x 14”; it is, if anything, cleverly designed for shipping. Although the dimensions of the “TV Stand” are clearly illustrated on its point-of-purchase page, the accompanying photographs create a misleading impression of the stand’s actual proportions; its height of just under 20” is not adequate enough for what most would consider a comfortable viewing angle. I would really define it as a low-profile console for organizing an entertainment center, and the reason I ordered it. Be sure to check its actual dimensions to ascertain the console will serve your needs. As it arrives, each of the main pieces is clearly labelled with stick-on letters for reference when following the assembly instructions. The instructions are clearly illustrated and easy to follow, although there are some subtleties requiring that they be carefully appraised. I spent about an hour assembling the console, not because it’s particularly difficult, but because there are a lot of screws used to attach the various parts to one another. At no point did I find myself frustrated by the effort. During the course of the assembly, I did find myself becoming cynical towards the quality of the piece. For example, the legs are joined with an internal bracket whose threads are shorter than the screws used to join them together, with the result that at the end of the screws travel, rather than tightening, it just continued turning, allowing the joint to flex a little, like a knee. The drawer is either accordion folded cardboard or plastic covered in fabric, with a stiffener pushed into the bottom to hold its shape. Both the metal frame and the imitation wood top comprise three discrete sections. The tops are screwed to each of the sections and the sections are joined by cross pieces. The best way to get everything evened up to one another is to torque the screws down in the necessary order when the basic assembly is completed. For convenience, threaded leveling discs are at the end of each of the metal legs. Fully assembled, the Casaottima TV stand is rigid and supportive. Its 11.4” depth just fits the depths of our receiver and subwoofer; just. Other than the ganglia of wires associated with a seven speaker surround sound system, or what have you, it provides an innocuous means of organization. As I mentioned already, the included instructions are clear and easy to follow. The kit includes everything needed including the necessary tools. As it turned out I became less cynical after the console was fully assembled and put to use; for the time being it suits our needs. As I recommended earlier, just be certain that its dimensions are suitable for your needs; its low and narrow. In our case we’re using it under a TV we’ve hung on the wall.

This 47-inch TV stand with the fabric drawer looks really nice once it’s all set up and fits my TV perfectly. The size is just right and I love the added storage. As for assembly—it wasn’t super easy, but it also wasn’t too hard. Just took a little time and patience to get through the steps. Overall, I’m happy with it and think it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for something affordable and functional.

Turns out to be an easier build than most furniture I’ve put together. All the parts + pieces included, & straight forward instructions made construction easy. That being said, make sure that this stand has enough height + length + width if you are intending to physically place your TV upon it. Once up I found it much too small for our smaller 55” TV to fit. After doing research I found many other options that were more accommodating in size & price. In all though, if this stand’s dimensions are what you need, it is a sturdy stand and looks great for the correct place.

Easy to set up. Relatively sturdy for light objects, but if I planned to put a TV on top, I'd absolutely brace the stand to the wall (especially if you live with kids, pets, or clumsy people). It is too thin for it to not tip over on accident, and the drawer pulling in/out makes it more susceptible to tipping. The quality of the materials is decent for the cost though (not great, but definitely practical).
