Pattern Name: Cleaning Set Color: Gray
I have used the same brand broom for 55 years, but the stores in town were sold out with the pandemic and no way to get new stock. When I saw this broom I thought now that looks like a good sturdy broom, I have never had a broom break before, just had them wear out. After just 2 months of using it once a week on my kitchen doorway ( I vacuum my kitchen ) the bottom broke right off, now that is what I call a true piece of junk merchandise. So my friends, do yourself a favor and pass this item right on by, and buy a brand you have had good luck with in the past. This is just a piece of poorly manufactured crap. ... show more

  • A Quality Broom, If a Bit Small
Pattern Name: Cleaning Set Color: Silver/Green
First the good: this broom is well made. Be aware: you do have to put it together yourself. Be sure to follow the included instructions! After assembly, the broom is high quality, catching dust and hair with ease. The included dustpan is surprisingly adept at scooping up that dust and hair, with very little left at the edge of the dustpan. Now the other (not bad) info: it's a surprisingly narrow broom. Yes, you can look at the dimensions listed on the product page, but until you have it in your hands, you're not absolutely sure of the size. Again, this broom is not very wide, even if it is good at sweeping. All in all, you can't go wrong with this one, just be aware of how narrow it is. ... show more

  • Great bristles, some problems, lot of $
Pattern Name: Cleaning Set Color: Gray
I read the big review online, (interestingly by "Wired") and wanted to get my wife the best broom ever. (we have 3 kids. It makes $20 (actually it was $15) seem an ok budget for a broom...used often twice per day, on demanding targets like rice and pasta and construction sand) Pro: -The bristles ARE tight and soft and wonderful. I sweep fewer strokes because it catches just everything. Very fine stuff, big stuff, sand and rocks and crumbs in the same sweep. They are supple and even make for a pleasant sweeping sensation. Great bristles. And bristles are almost everything. -The broom sweeps wet spots just fine, dries quick, keeps sweeping. -Rubber foam handle is cool. But it moves. Which is good (can reposition), and bad (now at bottom of broom...). Ah...this is a con, isn't it? Cons: -the bristles are a bit flimsy, they DO flip debris a bit - but you get used to handling it so it's not a problem. You can even use the flip action to shoot dirt where you want it. -the bristles DO take a bend/shape when sitting in the closet. It comes out with use though - don't let someone scare you that they have no 'memory,' they do. Maybe if you left it for months...? -The broom now has a hard plastic circle on top to hang it, not the green loop. Don't care for it, don't use it. It does not seem to rotate. It's not ergonomic either, too small (Libman has a rounded top with a hole in it and texturing. bad for hanging, great for sweeping. We don't hang it) -I wish the the broom head was wider. Not a biggee, I don't think it's slowed me down. -It's SHORT! Probably not a problem for most. I'm 6'2", and it's fine...but why a short broom? It bothers me occasionally. Big cons: -Ok, seriously, what. A broom that breaks down into 3 pieces. WHY?!? Can someone please reply with how much it has blessed them to be able to make 2 foot broom pieces that reassemble at the job site?! I WANTED to like it. I WANTED to love this broom. I DO think the people who say "I can't screw it together, no matter what I try!" are just doing it wrong. Getting the broom head on was hard. Screwing together was...not really hard, but took some doing. But one joint comes loose every time and I have to retighten. And the other join is frozen stiff. I have never lost an "unscrew the cap" contest, I can twist with might. I tried so hard yesterday, I whimpered after my hand flesh returned to it's place. It's stuck. HOW IS THIS A GOOD DESIGN FEATURE? (it allows for easy shipping. it's not for your benefit!) I had thought about taking out the middle section and letting the kids use the 'special' broom in their own height. Aw, cute. Can't. -The money. Worth it for great bristles? Not for me. I do not feel like I am using a $20 broom when I use this, and that's the key. Over spent. Decided to keep it an not return. I'm not bitter, I'm not sad - it's a good, shortish broom with character (ie. joints). But I'm also not recommending it. (update, it's actually a $15 for me. And... Meh) If you are short (too short for my wife of average height) and really want that silky bristle feel, and have a strong hand to get the head on the handle, and maybe some super glue for the connections (unless you want to disassemble....in which case I need you to explain this to me, and I need to explain that it will not be reliable) - then this is the broom for you. If you have $15 in your broom budget. I also got the oxo dust pan recommended in the review: it grips the broom well, not very soundly though - comes off with quick change of motion. It picks things up, the rubber edge isn't a miracle and ALWAYS requires several extra sweeps to get it all, and the raised lip inside is a bit short and carrying capacity is very low. for $15, I am not mad but the rubber and plastic better hold up for 10 years. please click helpful if this was Update: LOVE the bristles. Holding up great. Wish is was wider. Handle becomes loose OFTEN (like, 3 times per sweeping!!) Rubber foam handle is useless can't move it by hand, won't stay in place. OXO dust pail doesn't hold on very well. Not an amazing fit. Not really an amazing pail... I finally got it apart - actually, it just happened by itself. So I shortened it for my Littles - once. ;) ... show more

  • Perfect Kitchen Broom
Pattern Name: Cleaning Set Color: Gray
I did some research and discovered this broom was named the best broom for two consecutive years by the New York Times. It's perfect for the kitchen: it gets under and next to tight areas and it's very good at picking up very small and even fuzzy pieces of debris.

  • Replaces an older Casabella broom, at a higher price with no included pan.
Pattern Name: Cleaning Set Color: Gray
The current Casabella broom and pan we own is terrific, well-matched but aging, meaning the bristles are starting to fray and lose effectiveness. When looking for a replacement, I found what I thought was a fit from the manufacturer. Sadly, I chose the wrong item and my only recourse to returning it was a $62 freigh charge. Casabella, as a direct-to-home option, is terrible. I then looked at Amazon and bought what I could, which is the broom. No pan was on offer. Come to see today sure, I could have bought the pan today for an extra $13. The ridiculous inflation of prices is everywhere, and for sure, this will force me into other options in the future. Of course as a broom it functions quite well, as Casabella makes a good broom. It sabotages goodwill, however, so I am willing to go cheaper now in response. ... show more

  • Handle does not tighten and breaks making product useless
Pattern Name: Cleaning Set Color: Gray
The broom itself is good however, the handle does not tighten. Today I used the broom to sweep (as you ask what it is used for) and the handle broke off completely. There is no possibility to repair so a total waste of money. I would never order this broom again and if it were possible would get my money back. Should have returned it immediately as it was a pain in the butt to tighten as you are sweeping. Do not buy this product! ... show more

  • Excellent Broom
Pattern Name: Cleaning Set Color: Silver/Green
I am a huge fan of Casabella brooms. I bought my first one years ago, and have never looked back. I used to be able to purchase these at a store where I live, but now I can only find them online. I am so thankful Amazon carries them because there is no broom out there that does as a good job as Casabella at sweeping. I like that it even captures fine dust. Even though this model is not technically ergonomically, like some of the past Casabela brooms I have owned, it is still very easy to use, and does not strain my lower back. 10/10, I would buy this broom again. ... show more

  • Small but durable
Pattern Name: Cleaning Set Color: Silver/Green
Easy to assemble, the pole came in 3 pieces you have to screw together before you add the brush. At first I thought it was used, but the bottom 1" of the bristles are textured to pick up more dirt (and hair). The small width of the brush makes it easy to sweep in tight spaces. It's very light and seems durable. The dust pan is also easy to manipulate and I was able to sweep up sand! ... show more
