Poor quality. The metal does not cover the whole roof and the glue that holds the roof on is not strong enough to do so. It's cute but I don't feel like it was worth the money I spent on it. I read the other reviews and took a chance anyways. I had planned to use as a gift but I would be embarrassed because it's cheaply made so I will repair it and keep it for myself and find another gift. ... show more

Screwhole in back is very cheap and broke when we tried to install it. We just directly screwed into post. You are supposed to clean native bee nests yearly, I dont think it will be possible/ easy with this product. I have had it a month and a piece of the roof fell off already. Would not buy again.

looks great but when it arrived a few of the dowels were loose and it looks like they go all the way from front to back but they are only one inch long, also the roof was not attached, no glue was used to fix it but rather they used a punch so a small hole was punched out and the sharp parts of the metal push into the wood, apart from that it does look good but looks are deceiving at times, after a month or two, nothing nested as yet ... show more

DESCRIPTION: This is a bug house intended to provide shelter for pollinators. ———————— ASSEMBLY: The house comes with a triangular brass hanger on the back, all that is needed is to flip it up and hang it on a nail or screw. ———————— PLUS: This house has a metal roof, which is far superior to others which have 2-piece wooden roofs. (We have three of those, and have had to repair all three roofs as the wood warps and splits). The house has a variety of cavities for various insects. ———————— HOW I USED IT: This is hanging near our pollinator garden (basically a patch of grass and wildflowers which we do not mow) which is adjacent to our vegetable garden. Our experience has been the various pollinators will lay eggs in the fall and plug up the holes. After the first frost we move the houses into a shed for the winter, then put them back out in early spring for the eggs to hatch. This is a well-constructed house and much better than others we have obtained from the home improvement store. We recommend placing it near your own pollinator garden, especially if you are growing vegetables. No pollinators, no vegetables! ... show more
