    • Worked fine on stairs; tips and tricks that worked for me.
I've used different carpet protectors before and like the other reviewer says, grab a drink. Also get your cuss words ready. Any brand I've used has been a bi-otch to install. I installed this on my stairs and small hallway up top for a furniture delivery and used the smaller 24" roll for the room the furniture was being delivered to. Both products worked. My carpet is low-pile and it stuck fine. We installed it in the morning before the delivery and took it off in the evening. I started at the top of the stairs, rubbed it over and under the ledge/lip, then smoothed it down back onto the riser, being sure to press it back into the crevice at bottom, then forward across the step, continuing on in the same fashion to each stair below. It's easier if you have two people and preferably one of them being someone with muscles. If you don't finish the entire roll, fold the free edge back on itself a few inches so you have an easier starter edge for next time and don't go through three drinks and fifty cuss words trying to get it unstuck from itself next time. ... show more

    • What a mess
I found it to stick to carpet just fine, the problem is that it sticks to itself about 1000x better. It also has the incredible property of being extremely difficult to tear when you are trying to tear it, and extremely easy to tear when you are not trying to tear it! I recommend having a crew of at least 4 people to hold the roll and pull it off in order to keep it from rolling back on itself. ... show more

    • Worked like a charm for our move.
It definitely takes two people to install. Start at the lowest step and work your way up. Once the first piece is adhered...pull the tape out so the is some slack to allow you to push the tape up the riser and step...going a couple steps at a time. Very pleased with the product.

Used the product to protect some new white stair carpet while moving in. A bit tricky to install until you figure out a technique. Can be done by one person, but much easier with 2. Start at the bottom, have the other person hold the roll and unroll product as they back up the stair. First person starts at the bottom and pressed the film to the carpet as they work their way up the stair. While doing that, the other person unrolls additional material. Works great. ... show more

Could not use it. It would not unroll without sticking to itself. Will be throwing it away. Impossible to unroll without ripping. Would not recommend

    • film would not stay securely on carpet
I planned to put this down on brand-new carpeting in a for-sale home. The film was fairly easy to put down but would only adhere to carpet for about a half hour, then slowly came unstuck along the edges. Maybe would have been fine if I was installing it in multiple overlapping rows - in that case, the film would have stuck to itself along the long edges. But I was installing it only in one long strip, like a walk-way, from room to room in the house. When the edges came up I was concerned that it might catch slightly on people's feet, so I removed it.     • HOT GARBAGE
First, I put this on low pile synthetic carpet after giving it a good once over with an over priced vacuum. SECOND let's not pretend I didn't almost get divorced in the process of laying this out. Third, after spending nearly 45 minutes to cover a 10x13 room, the next morning it was like I had laid this stuff down like a bed sheet. It had almost no adhesion to the carpet. This purchase was a monumental waste of money. First application did not adhere to carpet so tried again. The second application rolled and did not stick either. Got any suggestion of what I can do with a roll of worthless plastic?
