The media could not be loaded. I've been skating my whole life and have always thought that it would be awesome to have a skateboard that powered itself. When I was younger no such thing existed. I was at a local park one day when I saw someone riding a skateboard but they weren't powering it with their feet. Imagine my surprise when I went home and looked up electric skateboards. My mind was blown. There were so many options. Some of them were really expensive. I decided to try my luck on a "value" option and hoped to get just a simple toy. I bought this Caroma skateboard and what I received blew me away. This thing is awesome! It's super simple to use. In my video you can see how easy it is to turn it on, and cycle through the three different speed options. The way that it intelligently brakes also saves you from abrupt stops. I took it out today and went about 5 miles on it and it still had battery left to go more. The deck is high quality. The trucks and wheels can be easily tuned using the provided multitool. I like my trucks tight so the first thing I did was tighten them up a bit. It took me about a minute to dial it in, and then I was ready to go. I also love that it has an integrated carrying handle, making it easy to pick up and walk inside a business or to store it somewhere. I bought this hoping to get a couple hours of amusement but this thing is built to last. I can't wait to get out and ride it some more. ... show more

After a full charge sometimes it does not want to power on unless i plug the charger back in and hit the power button. Besides that this thing is fun! Handles sidewalks well, except for the really bad areas. Idk how much r&d they put on the brakes but they are just the right amount of weak enough it doesnt throw you off but it still works to slow you down! The trucks are not good but i guess that and the small motor keep it cheap. Over all its great for beginners and commuting short distances! ... show more

I run it on high pretty much all the time an I get about 4 1/2 miles out of it but there are also some steep hills on my route so I’m pretty pleased with it’s performance.

Charged the board and remote over 5 hours. They do not work! I am not the first reviewer giving bad review on it. Do not take a chance like me. Sending a skateboard back on your own expense? NO THANKS. Shipping fee is expensive. My time is priceless. I will bite the sand.

Honestly for a $200 electric board the quality of the board is good and the material is very sturdy to withstand the weight of the person riding it. However, as pictured above the wheels seem to be made of some cheap plastic so they get chewed up very easily by rocks and general road conditions. The battery seems like after an hour it dies which is to be expected, I've used it only a couple of times and the remote still has its original charge so that doesn't need to get charged as often as the board. Honestly, I'd give the board a 5/5 if it had better quality wheels, I'm disappointed that is the thing they decided to cheap out on as it's a crucial part of the device. ... show more
