  • Seems to be built well.
Assembled it last night and will try to put in use sometime this week depending on my schedule. It appears to be built well and will last for a long time. I hope to be able to use for a long time.

  • Missing parts and hardware
Once I purchased enough hardware to partially assemble it, it worked ok. I was shorted all the nuts and one of the cross bar supports. The end supports that screw to the log are a little too short. I will need to make a cross bar support and better end supports to make this truly usable.

  • Much easier than using a ladder
So far I like everything about this product. It was reasonably priced. It went together fairly easy especially after I threw away the instructors. I think it will last as long as you don't abuse it. That's why I gave it a 4 start rating I'm just not sure how durable it will be. The ease of setup is awesome. ... show more

  • Missing hardware
Im not very impressed, the package is missing most of the #12 washers. Also, the sectional rails do not mount together straight, there is an arc to the rails probably do to the cheap way they are assembled. If I hadn't spent hours assembling this, it would be going back. Send me my missing washers if you want another star on your rating. ... show more

  • Rail
rail was fairly easy to put together but doesn't stay real straight. Cheaply made but you get what you pay for. I was about to use it with may chainsaw mill with some tweaking

  • Missing parts and bad instructions!
Pictured above are the "instructions". You just kinda have to wing it on assembly. Once you think you're almost done... Guess what... Plan on a trip to your local Home Depot for missing bolts. This was an absolute waste of time and money. I'd love to tell you how it operates but I've yet to be able to use it. Would not buy again, I wish I paid attention to the fact it came from China. ... show more

  • Lots of slop in the joining rods
I have to hike into the woods to mill trees, and I find this is far better than bringing an aluminum ladder or 2x4s to make a track. Things to be aware of: The 3x3ft sections connect together with flat stock bars and wing nuts acting as set screws. The flat stock feeds into tracks but has over 1/8" slop. That means these connectors do little towards keeping two sections straight. I'm considering buying better-fitting bar stock and tapping my own holes to improve this product for my needs. Consider adding LockTite to your wingnuts. The vibrations from a chainsaw will shake these loose and into the forest duff. I've already replaced a few. If you are just milling in your backyard, for some, a ladder might be better. Setting this up is a lot of fussing with tightening all the bolts and making sure things are square. ... show more

  • Make believe rails
Cheaply made and felt flimsy. Also hate the way it attaches to the log. 2 plates with holes in them for screws and then notched so the rail sits in. Can slide around and no support in the middle and I use a 661 so the weight is enough to bow it and then make my cuts droop. Not enough cross braces either. Very dissatisfied and would not recommend it if you want to actually use it. Think I would’ve been better off with couple 2x4s especially with what this cost! ... show more
