They weren't quite what I expected, but they are some great work shorts. They are a little rough and therefore potentially itchy, and I wish they had more of those Carrhart pockets, but I would buy them again.

I’m a big Carhartt fan, and wear their leggings daily. Super bummed these shorts got holes near the seam on the keister after only having them two months, and only getting to wear them a handful of times. The material is stiffer than that of the leggings, so that may have contributed. For reference, I’m 5’9” at 118 pounds, and the shorts were a small. I wanted to love these, but am left wishing they were at all durable.

I had high expectations for the price point and brand name.. Let's start with the positive, they fit true to size. Lots of pockets and modest, practical length. Wide waistband. Adequate compression. Now let's hit the downfalls, I bought the Tarmac color which online appears like a neutral dark khaki. To me in person it actually appears muddy, darkish brown color, a color I have seen in a diaper. Personally, I didn't find it attractive. The fabric is itchy. The compression is adequate, but for me, the compression was in all the wrong places. It felt like it was squeezing in my crotch and applying enough pressure to involuntarily pull my waistline down. I am a size 12, purchased a large and would consider myself average body type. It is hard to describe, but a totally odd experience for me. Unfortunately, was not a hit for me and will be returning. Plenty of other softer, Bermuda legging shorts, pretty colors with pockets and performance out there for less.

Love Carhart! What more do I have to say? Heavy stretch fabric. Ordered large but could wear a medium. Very comfy. Tough fabric for hard work.
