This hat kept my head more-than-warm during this last particularly cold and long NY winter. It is a bit larger than I expected, not in the circumference but in the length. This is actually a good thing, in my opinion, because it allows for me to adjust the fit exactly how I need it depending on how cold it is and my hairstyle (e.g. there's more than enough fabric to pull it over the entire ears or even lower if I want, and it can easily accommodate a ponytail or a bun and still cover my entire ears). The fabric seems to be of high quality and is soft yet sturdy. It is thick and very warm, so this hat would probably not be appropriate for only kind-of-cold days, but it is fantastic for very cold weather. It kept my head warm when the weather was in the low teens and there was wind and snow. The fabric was not itchy at all to me. It also did not cause static electricity for me, so it was easy to take the hat off indoors with little more effort than tidying up stray hairs. ... show more
