  • Best winter work gloves I’ve ever owned
Color: Black/Barley Size: Medium (Pack of 1)
The best pair of gloves I own. Very warm, resists water and is fantastic for working in cold snowy conditions. I highly recommend

  • Should Work
Color: Black Size: Large (Pack of 1)
I needed to replace my old play (riding ATVs) and work (snow removal mostly) gloves as the old ones were starting to show insulation through the leather palms/finger. I had a difficult time finding something that would be both warm (I'm up in N. Idaho and have to work at times in temps well below zero), still allow sufficient flexibility to allow my to grasp handle bars and shovel handles, plus tough enough to last for a couple of seasons.. These are close (I'd go with a 4.5 rating...but figured that going to a 4 wasn't right at this point) Point one, these are warm...very warm. Second, they are close to the flexibility of my old gloves; a bit more insulation means a small loss in flexibility, so we'll see, particularly after they get soaked and dried a couple of times. The last item, toughness will have to wait for at least a few more sessions of snow removal. They appear to have totally man made materials (even in the palms) and while they appear to be heavier duty than regular gloves, I've found after lots of experience that leather wears probably better than any other material; but I'm ready to be proved wrong. My one and only real advice would be to go a size larger than you might normally use. The measurement advice given on the Carhartt site was to buy large and while these fit, it's a tight fit and a bit of moisture will make them a challenge to get on. I'm at the stage in my life where our typical 6 inches of new snow requires at least a few starts and stops. You are not going to drink from a coffee mug with these on (warmth comes at a price) and getting them back on after that required cup of coffee will be a challenge. Oh, ya...the straps and draw strings on these are excellent. They will keep snow from getting in and will hold the gloves on even with significant effort. I'm currently to the point in our winter where snow removal requires throwing the snow up on to our now 5 ft piles. There is nothing quite as frustrating as throwing a full shovel of snow up on the pile and finding that your glove which froze on the shovel handle is now sitting on top of the pile after being pulled off your hand by the effort required. ... show more

  • Amazing
Color: Black Size: X-Large (Pack of 1)
These gloves are great, they fit snug and are warm so far

  • Good Gloves, But Description is a Bit Misleading
Color: Black/Barley Size: 2X-Large (Pack of 1)
I bought these gloves primarily for snow shoveling. They are warm and they appear durable, probably lasting several seasons. But: the Amazon description mentions “goat skin;” and “goat skin knuckle protection;” and “leather trim;” and “goat skin finger area and thumb,” but the hang tag that came with the gloves says, “synthetic leather;” and “synthetic leather knuckle protection.” As I know of no “synthetic goats,” I am guessing that the material is manmade. Probably a minor point, but certainly misleading. Also: I have large hands, generally taking an “XL” glove. Following the advice of several reviewers, I bought “2XL,” and that was definitely the right choice, as the glove runs a bit small. ... show more

  • Fits great for a northern Colorado trucker
Color: Black/Barley Size: X-Large (Pack of 1)
I normally load and haul milk in the northern Colorado region but recently was switched to loading and hauling cement around the same general area and if you know how cold it gets in northern CO around this time of year you'll know that this is the time to get some insulated gloves. I chose these Carhartt ones (XL) because I've bought insulated jackets and sweaters from Carhartt recently and they've outperformed every other clothing I've owned so I thought why not. For reference I'm 6' 2" and 270 pounds (with a belly) and if you know about hauling cement in pneumatic trailers, you know you have to stay near the trailer at all times while constantly working with your hands and I'm glad I bought these gloves. They are so warm and water resistant, it's ridiculous (in a good way)! Whenever the temps get low, or when the sun is set, and I need to use gloves, I use these because while they don't keep my hands super hot, they leave them warm enough to where my hands aren't aching from the brutal cold! I have touched snow and ice with these gloves and have yet to wet my hands, even after a trip to Laramie, WY in a snowstorm! I honestly have yet to try these gloves while chaining up on I-70 but when the time comes, rest assured I'll be using these gloves every time. They are that good. ... show more

  • Good, not great.
Color: Black/Barley Size: Large (Pack of 1)
Okay. As of April, 2021.. Again, these gloves are NOT really waterproof. We live on a mountain on the Front Range of Colorado, where the majority of the year is extremely cold, and mostly very windy. We have chickens and ducks in a very large pen area which I built a few years ago. Because of the extreme cold, we have heated water bowls which keep the water temperature well above freezing. I use these gloves multiple times per day to handle the birds and to clean out the water bowls. If you even splash water onto the gloves, it will seep through the seams. Which makes the gloves eventually wet in the inside. Which is miserable in the Colorado mountain cold. Other than that, after heavy daily use, the external thin fabric (plastic?) texturing on the fingers and palms will begin to wear away. Not a problem for me, but it falls off after a year or two and makes the gloves look ragged. They still work fine except for the seepage of water through the sewn seams. Drying out the wet inside of the fingers takes a good while. And is a PITA! As long as you're not getting them wet, these are excellent gloves. Extremely wind resistant. Not water resistant as advertised. ... show more
