I have worn this brand for 10+ years but this last batch is different. a new zippered pocket on front which I have not found a use for it yet. 3 pencil pockets, nice. Bibs are VERY oversized. This is the first item of clothing that has actually increased in size over the years, unfortunately for me, the old style first better. less brass. And I want o know what suit decided to move the tool loop from one side to the other. If you are used to putting small tools in the leg side pockets, you will be dropping them on the ground until you retrain yourself. Therefore I recommend that who ever is respo9ncible for this change be fired. now. please.

I had been buying other brands sized 46 and however short I could get the legs--I always had to cut inches off the legs and reseam. I ordered 46W again and 28 legs. The other brands must have been using chest sizes. Anyway these are considerably too large, but the leg length is ok. I'm going to keep them anyway. A sign on one gallus said to buy your usual pants waist size. I think I will drop down to 42W for my next order. I measured the inseam and it was actually 27 inches, which is just right for me. And the hammer loop is on the right side, which seems right to me, being right handed. The rule pocket is on the left side, rather far back. There is what appears to be a cell phone pocket over the rule pocket. The cell phone fell out of my pocket twice after I got into my truck. Maybe Carhart should work on that. Working people have enough things to worry about. A worse problem: Tearing of the bib cloth holding the connector to the suspender. Three of my Carhart overalls had one one bib cloth holding the suspender connector torn in two. I believe the laundry dryer drum catches the connector and tears the cloth. This has happened only once with Roundhouse overalls; the rotating drum twisted the suspender tightly, but nothing tore or broke. A solution: We hooked the suspenders, folded the bib and hooks, and pulled a sock over them. This worked, but is not foolproof. The sock needs to be pulled on pretty thoroughly to avoid coming off in the washing machine or dryer. The bib and suspender ends don't dry completely, but air drying them is not much problem. Oh, I repaired the Carharts with old Roundhouse hardware, brass buttons and rivets.

Carhartt overalls are great - these are especially good as they are not as wide-leged as many overalls are, causing snow, and wind to go up the overalls creating a very unpleasant experience. These overalls are perfect, not too wide and not tight at the leg. Great loose fit. Overalls are very durable and thick but not too thick like the duck overalls. perfect for working outside. Color is great, does not fade with washing and the value for the price paid cannot be beat!

I purchased these for the airflow while working outside. My waist is 36" so I ordered a 40" to allow for air movement. They fit great. But I could have got a 42" and been better off. GREAT quality and durabity. Love the clasps up top. Very happy withy my purchase and the low price :-) Gio, RN
