  • DANG, I love these pants
Size: 32W x 32L Color: Black
Good fit, comfortable fabric, just enough pocket space for my needs. I've only had them two months, but no quality or wear issues so far. If they hold up more than a year, I'll be even more impressed, because this fabric feels way too soft to be durable. I wanted something with extra pockets for work or street without looking like a Blackwater contractor; mission accomplished. I wish the phone pockets were a little farther forward so I'm not partially sitting on the phone, but otherwise no complaints. Great deal for around 40 bucks. Anything cheaper I've found to be garbage. Update after buying my third pair (more of a rant about sizing, so feel free to go back to the top and just buy them already): I've been a 32/32 for as long as I can remember. For reference, I'm 6' tall, 165 lbs. I've bought three pairs of these, all 32/32, and they fit perfectly. I wanted to try some cheaper options, so I used Prime Wardrobe to get six pairs of Amazon Basics and Goodthreads cargos in various cuts, both 30 and 32 waist. The 30s were a good 2" too big, and of course, the 32s were falling off. Had to send back all six. I've had similar experiences with Walmart jeans, but I thought it was just them. Here's the interesting part: An actual, no-kidding tape measure says it's 33.5" around my waist, including underwear and work shirt (which I tuck in). That means an apparently growing number of clothiers are understating their sizes by as much as 4 or 5 inches. (It also means I'm probably not actually the same size I was in college...) I've always scoffed at women's sizes (and plan to continue), but at least they're only fudging an arbitrary number. Men's sizes are supposed to be dimensions, for crying out loud! ... show more

  • comfortable and durable work pants, not too heavy, sized up waist one

comfortable and durable work pants, not too heavy, sized up waist one. Have used these for years: winery work, to home repair, to hiking.

  • Work pants
Size: 40W x 32L Color: Tan
I bought these pants for work as they arestill trying to figure out the new work uniforms for my department. The fit and material seem good and comfortable. The only complaint I have is that the waist seems a size too small. I have been losing weight and am currently wearing a 40 waist. All my other pants fit loosely around the except for these. I find that I have suck in my waistline to button the pants. Once buttoned, I noticed that the pants where tight enough that I didn't need a belt. Other than that these pants are comfortable. ... show more

  • The best summer work pants
Size: 35W x 32L Color: Navy
I've gone through at least 10 pairs of these pants over the years. They are hands down the best for a lightweight, summer work pant. The left knee will typically wear thin on mine, as when I kneel, it's on my right knee, stretching the left leg over my knee. Depending on your use, you may only get 2 seasons out of them, but that's of course entirely up to how much you wear them and how rigorous a job you have. ... show more

  • Classic Carhartt Quality and Great Functionality
These pants are great: Carhartt quality (stitching, zippers, material, etc.), functionality (the pockets and their placement are no accident), fit, and style. They have solid stitching, strong zippers, and material that doesn't wilt at the sight of something abrasive or pointed. They're not exactly summer material, but they're not too thick to wear on a hot day--maybe that has a lot to do with the cotton canvas material. They feel like a lightweight painters drop cloth, if you ask me. I can tell someone other than a fashion designer (that's a good thing, for purposes of my comment here) thought about the pockets. They're sized and placed practicably. I don't get much use out of the hammer/tool hanger loops, especially the larger one (the one on the right is wider than the one on the left). One of the best features of these pants is the fit. They sit where pants are supposed to sit (on a guy, anyway). I'm not sure what the proper definition is as far as "at the waist" or "slight at the waist." I just know I don't have to "part the boys and choose a side" when I want to wear these pants where I feel naturally comfortable wearing them! Lastly, the style is a good balance between "I actually do something for a living" and "I spend more time than I'd like in an office chair." I work at a place where I could be in a meeting with business-like folks one minute, and called out into the field at a construction site the next, and these pants live up to both worlds. Depending on the stiffness of your management, you might be able to sneak these in on business casual day with a nice polo or button-down. I own pairs of the tan, light-brown, and army green pants. The tan ones are the "fanciest" looking of the three and are really an off-white shade. The light brown pants are lighter than the picture shows, which isn't a bad thing. The army green pants are also lighter than the picture, not too far from the color of a used military seabag--I guess it's slightly muted olive drab. ... show more

  • the cut and size has changed
Size: 40W x 30L Color: Dark Khaki
bought a few pairs a few years ago and love them. bought another pair and even though they say they are the same style and size they fit totally different. matching up the tags the style name is the same but has a different font, so be aware if you are trying to replace an old pair

  • Very comfortable
Size: 42W x 32L Color: Tan
I was very disappointed when my local store said they were discontinued. They are the only paints that I can wear knee supports under the paints and they don’t bunch up at the knees
