I went to lake Erie 17°, from S.California 68°. I needed a carry on to hold my 2xl full length 650 down parka, snow cleets, gloves, hat, etc. This bag did it with some room to spare. I could have fit it under the seat but it definitely fit overhead. Also the bag is water resistant, it just rolls off. I've looked at a lot of backpacks, I was going to get a Tumi. This bag is just as durable maybe better even the zippers are the best. Since I don't carry a backpack everyday I believe this will last me forever and I couldn't see paying 5x more for wheels. If my kids were still in school, I would have bought these they definitely would have outlasted the others. Carhartt is quality!
