1997 kodiak 400: The original carb was a rust bucket not worthy rebuilding. Oem carb was way too pricey for such an old atv. This carb worked perfectly. It was originally equipped with the largest of the supplied main jets. I had to drop down one size, as it was running too rich.

Perfect fit for 95 Yamaha kodiak 400. Only issue I had was it overflowed with fuel when I first installed it. Found a small piece of rubber holding the needle off the seat. Easy fix but made it not directly bolt on ready to go. But runs like brand new again so I’ll rate it accordingly. Glad it was an easy fix and parts seem to be of high quality. Shouldn’t have had to open it up to mess with it but oh well. I’m just glad my plow wheeler runs again. No big deal. I would still recommend it. ... show more

    • Fits but the main jet was incorrect
Installed this on a 1998 Yamaha Kodiak 400 4x4. It is the correct size, which has been a problem with other carbs I've purchased. Also it comes with a 125, 135 and 145 main jet. The pilot appears to be a 45, but I could not find a number on it. My carb had a 105 main and 45 pilot. So I had to reuse the main jet in the new carb. Not a big deal but since it is listed as OEm replacement I thought it would have the 105 main. Seems to work good so far. ... show more

    • Bolted right on and was ready to use out of the box.
Installed this on my neighbor’s ATV. Was concerned upon opening package - it got shifted around in the box ( despite being double boxed and packaged well ) enough that the supplied fuel filter was broken. I proceeded, as I had another filter that came with a fuel peacock kit I ordered separately. I bolted the carb onto the ATV, the throttle linkage was slightly different (I’d even say the new setup is better design than the OEM) and it was ready to go right away. No adjustment / tinkering needed at all. Highly recommend, very happy I went this route instead of trying to rebuild the OEM carburetor. ... show more

It got my 97 kodiak running again havent got to test drive it but will update when i have rhe chance and for once its not pouring my gas out the bottom like cheaper manufactirers tend to do

    • Almost an exact fit!!!
The jet that was installed was to big. As luck would have it. It came with two others and the smallest is what I was needing. One other issue the tube that comes out of the carb for the throttle cable is to long. Comparing it to the OEM the OEM ends where the threads start. A little cut off wheel and it fits. This was for a 1995 Yamaha Kodiak 400. It would be nice if there was a note in the box saying hey this is the jet size we have installed make sure that is what you need otherwise swap it out. It runs great around the block will update if there is any issues on the trails. ... show more
