I had an issue with a stuck float on my '98 Kodiak 400 and instead of trying to repair chose to try this new carburetor. Although my model year was not listed the specs and size appeared compatible and it is. It was fairly easy to install after watching some videos, the most difficult is removing all my old bolts and such. The issue I was having was the ATV would not idle. It would backfire through the Carburetor. Adjusting the valves did not resolve the issue. Once this carburetor was installed that issue went away. However the ATV would not run at high speed. After trying several adjustments with no improvement. I replaced the main Jet from the original carburetor and that resolved the issue. ... show more

The new carburetor worked fine. Easy to install aside from my old choke body being stuck and trying times hooking up the throttle cable once the new carb was installed. The new carb comes with extra jets and a filter. Did not use the new jets. Would have been good had there been any mention on whether or not the new carb had any jets in it. I guessed it did and guessed right. Had considered rebuilding the old carburetor but with a new carb at this price rebuilding the old one was a foolish thought. ... show more

2002 Yamaha Big Bear, carb was delivered in a day to replace one that was all gummed up due to sitting and no fuel filter, unit was plug and play, minor adjustment to the Idle, and was back on the road, the jet installed seems to be correct, as well as the needle height, though extra jets were sent, great value for the price as was mentioned no heater on this unit shouldn't need it, seems to warm up and run better than the previous one that had the heater ... show more
