  • Plug and play for 1985 TRX 125, filter didnt fit
The carb worked perfect for my 1985, standard idle adjustment necessary. Like some said the filter doesn't exactly fit, but it works in the meantime while I wait for the proper one (its screwed in, inside the airbox).

  • Great carburetor
It almost makes it silly to take your old carb apart and clean it and buy a rebuild kit for it. You take this carb, install it and go riding. Easy, simple and good results. If you can, just find one of these for your application and buy it.. saves time and money.

  • Doesn't fit well on a 87 TRX 125
Only able to get one nut on, had to remove a captive nut that came with it. Other side was blocked by a piece of the carburetor, couldn't get the nut on. Fuel shutoff valve pointed towards the cylinder head, so the fuel line had the possibility to melt and cause a fire. I was able to flip it 180* to point it the other way. Other then that, it's a Chinese carb. And to it's credit, it runs fine with no tuning done. Also had to modify the cap by removing the brass elbow so my throttle cable could reach. ... show more

  • Screw all the bs. Put a new carb on and enjoy
Ok the air filter wasn't specifically for the airbox on my 1985 honda 125 trx, but with a bit of gorilla tape it was better than the old rag I was using before. Honestly I had no idea how wore out my old carb was. My only problem is now I have to order some brakes, because no lie this poor old 4 wheeler was bound for the scrap yard but now after bolting up this new carb it was such a night and and day difference that I'm nursing a sore back from it slamming me into the back rack the first time I tried it out. No lie this trx burns about as much oil as it does fuel, and with the old carb it took everything it had to get moving because you had to wait for throttle response. The hardest part of this review is not using profanity to describe just how awesome the experience has been this first night after getting it all hooked up and tuned in though maybe a little Rich because I have to have enough gas to burn the oil off but it is definitely better than the oem carb kit that costs more ironically from your local honda shop and don't really doesn't fix anything but leaks. I bought one from Honda 12 yrs ago when I was going to restore this thing and it didn't do anything more than fuel resistant Rtv does. This whole new carb is the way to go on these older atvs. It took my p.o.s. from a halfa55 toy my 6yr old could play with back to something my 35 yr old a55 is kinda scared to push top speed on now. I totally forgot how much rpm and speed these things had. In my opinion this carb is 100% worth it. ... show more

  • POS
This carburetor is a piece of junk, not only was it contaminated inside and the needle and seat were all gummed up and required cleaning but it will not maintain a full float bowl. Each time you try and start it after a few hours the bowl is dry. The quad will start up with starting fluid but as soon as that burns off it dies. This seller also sent the wrong air cleaner with the carb and did not respond in order to correct the error. There is full flow of fuel from the tank so there is no reason for the float bowl to dry out. There are also no leaks of any kind. The only way to get the quad to start is to pull the float bowl and fill it with fuel. I do NOT suggest using this seller. ... show more

  • Technically functional, however not easily
This product functions as a 1986 TRX125 carburetor and is jetted appropriately. However, the OEM carburetor has threaded studs on the intake side. This carb has captured nuts on the intake side. So… if you have the appropriate length bolts, and can pry one of the captured nuts from the carb, you can make it work. But it won’t be how you want it to install. The intake is acute from the carb on one side… so you end up with bolts going opposite ways. All that said, it does work for the bike. But don’t expect it to fit exactly without some ingenuity. Jets are good, air screw was 1/2 turn clockwise from a good idle. ... show more
