I would recommend having a good applicator when applying this shine to your tires. I purchased a foam applicator from Advance Auto Parts. It has a curvature that makes applying the shine a smooth job. The Meguiars tire shine has a mildly viscous consistency so it's not too loose or too thick. There's kind of a grape soda scent to it as well so the smell is easy to tolerate. The only drawback is that it doesn't last as long as it claims which is weeks but perhaps that depends on how much driving you do on average. I do a lot of driving on the interstate and just everyday errands, so 4 days is about as long as it lasts for my vehicle. Sometimes 5 days if I have a light week. I initially balked at the price but this is so effective and easy to use that I find myself super-cleaning the wheels every time I wash my car. It also neutralizes whatever that crud is that Michigan sprays on the roads in the winter that sticks to your paint and is nearly impossible to remove otherwise. I used this on my tires and they are still dark. This was applied maybe 3 weeks back and still look like when I applied it. Only did 1 coat. Vehicle sat 2 days before driving. Vehicle has been washed once. It hasn't really rained any yet to see how it holds up to WA rain.

Occasionally I come across ChrisFix episodes, and he always seems to have very in-depth usage and reviews of the products he uses, and this seemed to be a unique one. It turns purple as it reacts and removes brake dust from your wheels! As pictured, it worked wonders (seems the 'after' picture didn't get saved properly on my phone). Easily cleaned off all the resilient brake dust that had built up since the last time I had washed my car. Currently driving a lot of highway miles, so I had waited longer, but this stuff worked like a charm. I was using Meguiars Ultimate Tire spray, but the gel provides a longer lasting tire black/shine. The gel is a little more tedious to apply, but worth the results and definitely holds the shine longer.
