Description

Liquid Wax Hybrid Spray Wax Plastic Restorer Super Cleaner Tire Shine Spray Wheel Cleaner Is this a Carnauba Car Wax, Polish, or Sealant? This product is a full synthetic polymer sealant. It was created to give the deep buttery and beautiful shine of a carnauba paste car wax, but provides the durable and long lasting protection of a synthetic paint sealant. How long does it last? Gives up to a full year of protection depending on the climate you are in or what type of washing regime you use. Water beading will last up to 6-8 months, again depending on your washing regime and climate Will this leave white residue on my plastic and rubber trim? Yes, it has a chance of leaving a white residue. We recommend avoiding rubber, plastic and trim. Safe to use on any other type of surface including paint and glass. If you happen to get some onto plastic or rubber, simply wipe it off before it dries. Is this only for automotive paint? No! This can be used to on your paint, glass, and rims! Safe on all types of clear-bra or decals! We even have customers use it to protect their shower doors, countertops, stainless steel appliances, faucet and more! Avoid using on Plastic and rubber Do I apply this over wax? No, make sure this is the base before applying any other wax or sealants to your vehicle. • It works a month later, after a full hand detail and still shines like the day I applied the sealant
Size: Liquid Wax – 8 oz Kit
So I was going to detail my car since im sure it wasn't done on it before in a long time. So after some research I found these steps to take when detailing, make sure you set aside a day or two if doing it by hand, otherwise use a machine which I would recommend after what I did. #0 Wash the Wheels and tires first to make sure contaminants from the wheels dont go on the paint. #1 Pre-Rinse the car and then Hand Wash it after, I used a pressure washer for the foam cannon and used a mitt and one bucket of water to rinse my mitt in it after every panel, after I was finished I used a microfiber drying towel from chemical guys. #2 Clay bar the car, I used the quick lube in the bottle it came with but after I ran out of that I used my car soap in the spray bottle for lubricant, 'Side note others use dawn or any dish soap instead of any other lubricant to break down other contaminants or "more" wax to leave the surface more clean which may be true since the quick detailer does contain a sort of wax to it and so does the megiuars ultimate car soap, which could hinder the performance of the next steps since they would be a small film of protection'. This took me 3-4 hours by hand, do this under some shade and make sure the cars paint is cool and not warm or hot, and not when its windy "my mistake" after this step my paint and windows and mirrors felt really smooth and was amazed by the soft feel it gave but after this step it gets more important since you dont have any wax or sealant anymore. If your paint is already in good condition with no scratches go to step 4 so you can polish it since you want that extra shine. #3 I used megiuars ultimate compound by hand to rub off any small scratches I had like dog nail marks and such, 'using a machine like a da polisher would work much better than by hand and get you better results from this step and the next step #4' then after that I used it across the entire paint not the windows or mirrors those would get damaged, Make sure you follow your directions for the compound if you will be needing or using one. After doing this by hand for 3 hours the paint was not smooth but squeeky clean because when I dragged my fingers across the paint it would squeal which suprised me because I never heard a paint do that before, but it is a compound so it cuts through clear coat a little or a lot depending on what you are doing. I used some extra pressure around the scratches I had and they went away. Remember a compound eats away any waxes or sealants so you need to reapply some sort of protection right after otherwise you have a patch of raw clear coat unprotected. #4 I used megiuars ultimate polish, follow the directions on the bottle of your polish or glaze. After the compound I used this product by hand and put some extra force into it 'A machine would do a better job', I had some help this time since it was tiring. After I polished the car by hand wow what a difference the cars paint did not squeal but it was smooth like legit BUTTER and it has a clear shine to the paint which it never had before. And the reflections were deeper and glossier than ever before. #5 Last step I used this product by hand, it took me 20-30 minutes, I maybe over did it with too much product which is why it took so long. I did not apply this to any rubber trim since it would whiten it. After I applied this to the paint and also windows and side view mirrors and windshield and headlights/tailights and chrome trim 'You can also use it on wheels which I would recommend since it can help keep them clean longer and easier to wash as well and protected' after the chrome trim I waited not 30 mintues for the sealant to cure but 1 hour maybe overkill but whatever. After that I used the towel this carguys sealant came with and wiped down the entire car, after than I let it sit for 12 hours to cure over night. The next day I went to look at the car and it was super clean and reflective/clear with a nice wet look to the paint which it never looked like before, and the paint felt EVEN SMOOTHER than butter absolutely crazy, after that one week went by then I washed it and took a picture of how it beaded water which is the one above. Truly fascinating. I have applied and did these steps on the car on April 21 on a Sunday 2019, so almost a month has gone past and I can say it is still beading water and when I drive it on the freeway and it rains the water just slides up and over the windshield which I have never seen before either and boy was that just cool. The paint is still soft and smooth as butter, I will only hand wash the car because anything else is just scratching it 'yes those touchless car washes are just as bad as those standard big machine ones' should this sealant actually last 6 months I would be hugely impressed. Also another thing is that it gets dirty quickly but I guess that makes sense since now the metal fallout and other pollutants and contaminants dont bond to the paint so now you can easily see it and feel it on the paint which is a good thing since now your paint is protected and your clear coat is not breaking down anymore. • Seems Good at First...
Size: Liquid Wax – 8 oz Kit
The best thing about this wax is the ease of applying and buffing. Far easier than Zymol, which has been my choice of car wax after trying many others. I've tried Car Guys on both bright white paint, and deep black. If your car is white, this wax is probably your best bet. Gives a nice, glossy shine. However - on my black car, it provides a good shine, but when the car is in the sun, you can still see swirl marks. Now, I know that to truly remove swirl marks, I'll need a polishing compound or clay treatment. However, when I used Zymol, without any other treatment aside from a wash, I felt it did a better job of covering the swirl marks in the sun, on the same car. In the shadows, or on cloudy days, the difference in shine between Zymol and Car Guys is minimal. Also, both provide a silky smooth surface. My other nuance is that, to make my wax last longer and the car look cleaner longer, in between wax jobs I apply a Carnauba spray wax. Just to buff out any imperfections. With Zymol, I can do this no problem. However, I've noticed that the spray wax doesn't mix well with Car Guys, and it's harder to apply and buff out. Other than this, Car Guys wax has been great. I feel that Zymol - to me - is still the benchmark, and the higher level of shine that Zymol provides is offset by the effort needed to buff out. If your car color is other than black, this is probably as good as it gets before compounds and clay come into play. ... show more

  • Throw the foam applicator away, it sucks up and wastes product
Size: Liquid Wax – 8 oz Kit
LIQUID WAX: 5 stars, note, this is only about application of wax, I have no observations on longevity protection or reduced car washes at this time. FOAM APPLICATOR: -5 (Negative stars). How can something get negative stars I hear you ask? If using it is detrimental I answer. I believe this foam is open cell foam like a bath sponge so it's actually soaking up the wax and getting heavier as you use it. That's why the negative stars, it's actually soaking up, meaning wasting expensive product by the very fact you are using it. Dont use it, throw it away, its sucking up wax dollars. Secondly its has a poorly stitched on pocket for your hand/finger tips, half way through my second panel it came undone, dropping the applicator on a dirty garage floor, I threw it away. MICROFIBER CLOTH: 5 STARS, it's a good cloth, deeper pile than other cloths I have, at the end of a day it's a cloth. It does a good job. I have a great condition, two year old, low mileage mid size SUV with black plastic trim in parts and the usual black rubber seal around windows. I applied 1 coat of car guys liquid wax staying an inch away from all black plastic and rubber trim (as per instructions on the bottle) by a good inch. I also waxed all glass as well. I repeated the process the following day. The wax was easy on and easy off, nice slick feeling once buffed by hand with their cloth. I followed up later that same day (after the prescribed 6 hours) with a coat of car guys hybrid wax sealant spray and put that all over the black plastic trim and rubber which I had avoided with the first and second coat of liquid wax. I will follow up with an update after I see how the wax protects my vehicle over time. TABLESAW: I have a table saw with a cast iron top, it's a perpetual battle to keep rust at bay, like all woodworkers who perpetually battle oxidization I have used autosol, bostik topcoat, boeshield and various paste waxes to no avail, nothing wins the battle against rust. I thought I would power sand and try a couple of coats of car guys liquid wax to see how it works compared to all the professional purpose made substances I have used in the past. I'll also update here if it works, hopefully the product does not have silicone in, I should have written to car guys first to ask if it had silicone in before using, too late now. TABLESAW UPDATE: Awesome results for keeping rust of a cast iron tablesaw. I use the wax about once or twice a year, I have had zero corrosion in the 3+ years I have used it. ... show more

  • Liquid Wax is the Way To Go!
Size: Liquid Wax – 8 oz Kit
Goes on nice and easy. Comes off just as easy. Wanted to try a liquid type wax for some time now, and this seemed to have good reviews, so I gave it a shot. Far better than paste wax if you are doing a large vehicle like a truck. Your arms will thank you, and Mr Miyagi would approve! Has held up just as good as any other wax I’ve used. Wouldn’t say it’s some miracle wax by any means, but it does bead water and hopefully holds up. Waxed the truck and the gf’s car about 2 months ago. Truck is white, so although it will never be as shiny as a black vehicle, it definitely was shiny and felt nice and smooth after the wax. Gf’s car is a darker grey, and this wax made it look outstanding. Beads water just like any other wax. My favorite part is that I noticed I missed a few spots the next day, and it didn’t cake up like a paste wax would in all the corners and especially around the handles. Grabbed a towel and rubbed it right off. Put it on the glass and didn’t discolor the black trim seals like some waxes do when I overshot a tad. I’m sold on liquid waxes now, although I don’t know that I’m sold 100% on this one in particular. Little too expensive when you’re waxing large vehicles, and I can’t honestly say it’s really any better or worse than any other wax on the market. Some may disagree, but I’m not a detailer for a living, just a mechanic. I wax all my vehicles multiple times a year to protect from the sun and winter harshness, so as long as it lasts more than a month, I’m happy. ... show more

  • I've become a Car Guys guy
Size: Liquid Wax – 8 oz Kit
I'm not a detailing fanatic, just looking to protect my investment by maintaining my car's exterior. I've owned many cars and have tried too many products to count over the years. From traditional paste waxes to "Nu" stuff and everything in between. They all get the job done more or less, but some are a pain to apply/remove, some leave that awful white residue, etc. I've been using Car Guys hybrid spray wax for touch ups and noticed how slick the surface stays after applying it, so I decided to give their liquid wax a try. Like most other products, it works well, but it has some distinct advantages: 1. It's an easy to apply liquid. A thin coating is all you need. 2. You apply it all at once and let it dry before removing it. 3. You can apply it to glass. 4. It's easy to remove and there's no chalky/dusty residue. My car looks great. More importantly, the exterior is protected from the elements. My quest is over. ... show more

Firstly, I'm not your average joe when it comes to a car wash. This is the best product I have ever used on my Corvette. I've had corvettes for 6 years now and no product has done to my car what this has. My car is SLIPPERY!!! SMOOTH!!!! LIKE NEVER BEFORE ITS AMAZING! I want to say SLIPPERY again because that's what it does! Do these steps. If your car is stupidly dirty and has been for a long time ***clay bar first*** 1. Start off by wax stripping your car with Meguiars wash+ as a normal car wash expect bucket only method . Do sections at a time (do not let that stuff dry on your car). Water it down and do sections at a time. Please understand that. 2. Use this sealant on your car. Easy on the entire car then buff off after it turns white. Read product directions. You can do it a second time (not necessary) but wait 30 minutes after you buffed first coat. Please wait 6 hours before adding anything else after this. 3. After 6 hours of curing the sealant on paint, use *Car Guys Hybrid Wax Spray*. I bought a gallon, well worth it. Spray your entire car with that while buffing off doing sections at a time. You can do 2 coats for a better result. This stuff will last you months!!! Sealant is once or twice a year. Hybrid spray wax is applied after every car wash. ***Make sure when you wash your car next time to not use wax stripper on it or you'll defeat everything you have done. The wax stripper is a tool used to prep for a new sealant or wax on the car*** Did you read that up there? 4. Also I like to use chemical guys maxi suds grape. Its concentrated and a gallon. Its $18. Buy 2 gallons it will last you 3 years! Use it right, do not exaggerate. *A cap can do 5 gallons of water* Use more If you want. Best car wash shampoo you'll ever use, better then their entire line up as well. 1 galling should last you a year or 2 depending on how you use it and how much. This product is a shampoo that leaves a small amount of wax and a coat of enhanced glossier on your car after every wash. Never wash your car with hard water after you put this stuff on your car or you'll just strip it of your cars surface. *************************************** Do all of this on your car and maintain it that way all the time. You will wish you can thank me. This is the perfect stuff to keep your car looking its vest you wont even want to drive it! Thanks Car Guys, you guys are something else. This product is really a 10/5 stars ... show more

  • Ok But....
Size: Liquid Wax – 8 oz Kit
Does provide a slippery shine. However. Every person is set on their own wax. I bought a brand new jeep wrangler. Black. Unfortunately I have a mar on my hood from what appears to be from a possible frisbee or something. It's not a scratch. I was hoping this wax would remove it or at least cover the blemish. It did not. So I went back to use my old liquid wax Liquid Gloss Poly Wax and presto. The mar is gone. I'm not saying this wax is bad. It has its pro and con. I'll continue using the rest of the bottle because it says it provides good protection. But so does the old wax I used. This wax is more slippery. ... show more
