    • Really fun with ejecting characters, but very difficult to trigger the ejection buttons
The media could not be loaded. I sent these to one of my nephews in California so we could play with them on my visit there, and after using them for some time I have mixed feelings on them. The overall functionality feature of ejecting the driver's when you hit the sensor on the side is really cool and my nephew loved it, BUT he also was getting very frustrated with how difficult it was to trigger those ejection buttons, and if I'm being totally honest I was getting pretty frustrated as well. The handling is pretty good, but you really do have to hit those sensors/button triggers that eject the character pretty much head-on in order to trigger them, which is an issue unless someone is just really not paying attention or you have more than two players. We did have fun with him, and they are fun to just drive around indoors if nothing else because they do have rubberized wheels and rounded edges so you don't have to worry about damaging walls/floors. However, I was definitely a bit disappointed with how tricky was to actually knock a player out of the cart, so if you have kids that are easily frustrated I don't know how well they would react when their cart clearly hits their opponents cart but doesn't trigger the ejection; your call. ... show more

These bumper cars work great! When you bump the side of the car the driver will fly out and make a wee sound, they also make engine sounds and play three types of music.

    • A NEW FAVORITE!
This bumper car set is fun for all ages! The set comes with rechargeable batteries for the cars, but is also as charging cables and a little screwdriver to open the battery compartment. You will need 2 AA batteries for each remote, for a total of 4. It takes 45 minutes to charge the batteries. To match the car with the control, you first turn on the car, then the control. Controlling the vehicles is fairly easy to learn, as they have both high and low speeds. Also, there is a longer "crash" bar on the side than most other brands have. To eject the driver, one must crash their car into the side of the opponent's car, hitting the bar. You hear a "weeeeee" as the cute little driver pops up about 3 - 4 inches. The headlights are pretty bright, and you can easily see the cars in a darkened room. While we have just started playing with these cars, I can see races, crashes, and maybe even a few stunts in their future, as they seem pretty durable. You may want to keep some extra AA batteries around, as you can play for an hour or two without realizing how much time has passed. ... show more
