  • Cat outside, no fleas in or out!
Size: 6 Count
Well, while we can’t keep our 1 and half year old cat inside at this stage, 100% of the time, we had to let him have outside time. Of course, when he came into the house, we saw fleas, or if we combed him outside. It was scary to see so many and with our other cat, he didn’t have that issue and with having cats throughout my life, I guessed that some cats are more likeable to fleas, like some people are more liked by mosquitoes. What was great, with Capstar, was in giving our cat a tablet daily, was that soon, the fleas were gone. It took our cat about two weeks, with daily use. The proof was combing and/or brushing our cat. We could see that the fur didn’t have fleas or the excrement. We also didn’t see the fleas on the bed, carpet, furniture, etc. While it’s a little concerning to give him a tablet lie this, for me, it’s easier than topical. Naturally, I was worried about giving him this tablet daily, since I wasn’t sure how he would react. Initially, he did have a stomach reaction, and started eating grass or tall weeds, right after taking it, though after about a week, he was ok. These days, after longer use, does not have that issue. I do a small modification, though, to give it to him. I don’t put it as a tablet in his throat. I just ‘grind the tablet’ so it’s a powder, then mix it with his favorite liquid cat treat. It mixes with it well. The only time he wouldn’t eat it was when it wasn’t mixed well. (To explain on topicals, while our cat is extremely fastidious, he is constantly getting into shrubs, etc., so a topical isn’t ideal for him. Kudos to those where that works! So…Capstar pills are easy to deal with. They are fairly thin and small, maybe like the size if a thick shirt button. Each pill is individual in a foil, easy to tear off. To grind it to powder, you can use a can or something like it, to get the powder effect. It takes just a little bit of hitting it in the indiviual pill package, in the foil, then open the pill pocket by popping it and put it in the cat dish. It may be in one spot, so mixing it helps. This worked and is wonderful as we love having our cat inside when he needs to be, and allowing him outside, as he has to have his time being in the sun and visiting other outside cats. It also helps, so you aren’t worried about fleas being everywhere in the house. For improvements to the manufacturer, make the product 7 tabs instead of 6, please, and for the larger quantities. Also, find ways to give deals in some way. I know you have a captive audience, though sending some deal is important and appropriate, please. I would say that this, overall, has been helpful for having a cat who seems to be a flea attractor when he is outside and he needs to have his cat roaming, so this is a worthy product to try. His appetite is still great and no side effects after the initial week approx. ... show more

  • They actually work…
Size: 6 Count
7/22/2022 I was very skeptical about buying these flea pills. My dad bought some flea pills before years ago and all they did was make the cats sick. Recently my 3 cats have gotten fleas again and I know they’ve been uncomfortable. Always scratching themselves and biting at themselves. I tried giving them baths. With cats that goes about as well as you’d expect. The baths didn’t work either. I was getting desperate. I decided to try a flea pill. I usually stay away from sponsored items when they pop up in my search results, but this brand of flea pills had the most reviews and most were pretty positive. I looked at several more and read reviews and decided to go with these. The pills are really tiny. Wrapped my cats up in a blanket and force fed the pills to them with a syringe of water to wash it down. I can’t say I noticed immediate results like the product claims. I waited an hour and the fleas weren’t “falling off” as they claimed. I got a little disappointed and went to sleep and went to work. I came back home minutes ago and first thing I did was check the cats. I looked through their fur to find fleas and found several. ALL OF THEM WERE DEAD. EACH ONE I HAVE PICKED OFF OFF THEM IS DEAD. I am amazed, relieved, and happy that they actually worked and now my cats can be comfortable again. The fleas caused so many sore spots on my bigger cat, now they can finally begin to properly heal because these flea pills worked and killed the fleas causing the damage. They can note sleep and not be bothered scratching or biting itchy spots because these pills worked. I am very happy with the results. I recommend this product to anybody trying to help their pet be rid of fleas. I didn’t expect them to actually work but they did. Very happy right now and impressed. It doesn’t seem like any of the cats are feeling ill or doing anything strange, but I will be sure to update if they get sick and I feel the cause was the pills. But so far they seem fine and healthy. Healing actually. Again I recommend this to anyone trying to remove fleas from their pet. ... show more

  • Impressed with Fast and Effective Results
Size: 6 Count
I've been pretty happy with this flea treatment. It's truly effective and fast acting. Having 6 doses included is a huge advantage, plus it's safe for cats and kittens. No vet prescription needed is another plus. However, it could use a longer lasting effect. It's also not that easy to find in stores and different flavors for picky cats would be a nice addition. But overall, it's a solid product! ... show more

  • Keeps my cats free of fleas for weeks!
Size: 6 Count
I bought this to use on a couple of stray cats who adopted me - and it works great. I just pop the pill into the cat's mouth - you have to catch them off guard - and it works - no fleas! It lasts for a long time too. Once I had to mix it with some broth so I crushed it up and did that - and the cat took it no problem. ... show more

  • I won't buy this again
Size: 6 Count
Just made my cat very sick. Luckily it only lasted one day but if it would have gone into the second day she would have been to the vet. She was lethargic and didn't move from the same spot all day long except to go to the bathroom she also did not eat all day long which is very not normal for her

  • Capstar for cats
Size: 6 Count
Works very well for a day or two but it only makes adult fleas fall off. It will not kill larvae (eggs). If your cat has fleas, go to a vet for treatment. It was a waste of my money.

  • Very Effective!
Size: 6 Count
This works to kill present fleas, which is ecspecially useful if a cat is severely infected and works great to use on an outdoor cat before bringing them indoors. However it's not meant to prevent reinfestation as it is very short lived. A monthly topical is still needed but I still use this once or twice a month on my indoor cat anyway as an extra measure because it's so efficient. ... show more
