Features

  • Fast Start-Up & Wide Voltage Support Supports 100240 V AC input. After plugging in, the internal capacitor charges in a few minutes and the display shows when the welder is ready, helping you keep an efficient workflow whether in a home workshop or small production line.
  • Farad Capacitor for Stable High Power Welding Built-in energy-storage capacitors deliver a controlled pulse output for consistent weld spots. Maximum pulse welding power up to 10.5 kW (up to 2000 A at 6 V) provides strong, stable welding performance for battery pack assembly. For best results, operate the welder while it remains connected to wall power.
  • Automatic & Foot Pedal Welding Modes Offers two practical welding methods. In Automatic Mode, the welder triggers when the welding pen contacts the workpiece. In Foot Pedal Mode, you position the pen first and then step on the pedal to fire the weld, allowing steadier control on precise welds. Simple operation suitable for both beginners and experienced users.
  • For Battery Packs & Multiple Metals Designed for assembling battery packs such as 18650, 14500, 21700, LiFePO4 and similar cells. Capable of spot welding thin sheets of copper (up to 0.15 mm), pure nickel (up to 0.25 mm), and steel / iron / nickel-plated sheet (up to 0.4 mm), when using appropriate power settings. Always wear protective gear such as safety goggles during operation.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing & Complete Kit Rugged aluminum-alloy enclosure with smooth edges is resistant to wear and helps dissipate heat. The insulated welding pens include replaceable copper tips for reliable current delivery. Package includes: SK-10P spot welder unit, AC power cord, foot pedal, pair of welding pens, nickel strip roll, battery holders, nickel-plated plates, spare welding tips, fine-grit file and user manualeverything you need to start building battery packs.

  • Spot welding 18650 batteries
Works well and is powerful. I like that I can trigger the spot weld with the foot switch. Welds are good and strong with a middle setting so I should be able to weld thicker material if needed.

  • Great and powerful spot welder for the DIYer.
This welder is exactly what I wanted. It has enough power for the projects I do and then some. It is simple to operate and has all the features I needed. I highly recommend it.

  • Some Quality Control Issues, but Welds Great
I had been wanting a battery spot welder for a few years, so I jumped on the chance to try this one out. Upon opening the package, the first thing I noticed was that the wire leads are not fully insulated. They are a heavy gauge copper wire that is wrapped in plastic spiral wrap which does not extend the full length of the wires, leaving exposed sections on the ends. Ok, that is not a huge safety deal, as this does not have enough voltage to electrocute yourself with them. Where it does cause issues is that it allows for the off chance of shorting the two leads together if you are not paying close attention to the routing of them. It also does not provide any strain relief protections for the stranded wires to keep them from breaking, fraying and pulling loose over time. Speaking of fraying, one of the leads has a number of loose wires already fraying and sticking out from the handle, which really should have been caught and swapped out by the manufacturer. The next issue is that when I went to insert the welding tip into the collet on the end of the welding probe, one of the collet nuts was not drilled large enough to fit the insert tip into. That was subsequently fixed by carefully drilling it out with a 1/8 inch drill bit, and is an issue that again should have been caught by the manufacture. Now that all being said, the actual welding function of this worked great! I put it in manual mode and used the foot pedal to make a number of welds with the included nickel strip on several batteries and every weld looked good. I then followed by using pliers to try to pull the welds loose, and every time the nickel strip ripped around the welds, leaving the welds in place. The one downside that I found in use is that both the power cord and the welding leads are very short, so you may need an extension cord to get this close to where you are welding at. Overall, I am happy with this battery spot welder, but may look into different leads for it, or just add some heat shrink over the exposed wire areas. ... show more

  • Easy to use, small spot welder with some good configuration options
This spot welder is small and fairly compact, yet fast and easy to use right out of the box (almost). I had a few solar garden lights with worn out rechargeable batteries that needed to be replaced. I also have some battery packs that needed some cells replace and this little battery pack welder was perfect to get the job done. After plugging the welder in, the internal capacitor charges in a few minutes and the display shows when the welder is ready. The welder will time out after 15 minutes as a default to prevent extra power usage or accidents. The energy-storage capacitors deliver a controlled pulse output for even consistent weld spots. When welding pulse is generated, there is a pop sound and spark, so be ready and wear some eye protection. The maximum pulse welding power up to 10.5 kW (up to 2000 A at 6 V) provides stable weld for battery pack connectors and I found the weld holds nicely to the battery terminals. This kit included the 10.5kW spot welder unit, pair of welding pens, manual foot pedal, a little bit of nickel strip roll to get you started, battery cell spacing holders, spare welding tips, and a fine-grit file. Perfect to fix or start building battery packs. For best results, they recommend wall power to operate the welder because it draws some heavy amps briefly. I'm glad I used it in manual mode with the foot pedal. It allowed me to press the correct spot and then click the foot pedal when it's on the correct spot on the battery. One foot click for each spot weld. There is also an automatic mode, where the welder triggers the pulse when the welding pen contacts the workpiece. You can select the operation on the on-screen menu so it's good for both beginners and experienced users for more rapid welds in automatic mode. The color screen has several selectable options, but the default setup worked just fine for my battery replacement project. Later, I might adjust some of the options. The interface is ok because of the limited number of buttons, if they added a couple more buttons for forward, backward and return or OK, that would have made selecting menu options easier. It's made of a rugged aluminum-alloy enclosure with smooth edges is resistant to wear and helps dissipate heat with vent slots. My unit came with rattle of something that came loose inside. Turns out, a screw came loose and I had to figure out how to pry it open to extract the screw and then figure out where it came from and then install it back tight. I'd hate to have a short circuit. The insulated welding pens thick copper wire leads are loosely wrapped with a plastic spiral wrap which were a too short by about 3 inches and exposed the thick copper braided wire. I kept the probes apart from each other and I also wore electrical insulated gloves during my welding to prevent any accidental contact. Later, I decided to fix the insulation with shrink wrap insulation and some electrical tape. So, these new product flaws can be fixed with better quality control. Overall product is good and I was able successfully use it to fix a few battery packs with precision spot welds to replace batteries. The result was new life to some solar lights and adequate new higher capacity power for good electrical connections. Now, when the batteries go back, I can easily replace them. My next projects will be upgrading and building some battery packs, which is what this is intended for. ... show more
