I just received today. The packages were very beat up but all the dumbbells look good. I haven’t had time to open and assemble the rack yet. But I had to come here and comment on the awful chemical odor these weights emit. I have them airing out in my garage right now. The dumbbells also have some kind of coating that is transferring to everything, my hands, my clothes, the packaging. It looks like when you handle a fresh newspaper and the black comes off on your hands. I haven’t had a chance to wipe them all off yet, I hope whatever is on them will clean off and they won’t continue to rub off onto everything in my home gym. Update: after a week the smell is tolerable. I wiped each one off and set it up in my home gym. They do not seem to be transferring off the black color anymore (but I do have black flooring) but I would proceed with caution if you have light colored floors. ... show more
