I just recently started my fitness journey and purchased my first dumbell set but it only came with 5lb, 10lb and 15lb pairs, so I quickly needed heavier ones but the price for heavier pairs of that brand were double the cost of these CAP Barbell Coated Dumbbells so I decided to try this brand out and I am very happy with them. They look very similar to my others and the price is the best deal I could find for a quality pair. I purchased the 20lb and 25lb pairs and they were delivered very quickly and in perfect condition. Each dumbell was a separate package but all 4 were delivered at the same time. They are packaged very well, each box comes inside of another box to protect it during shipping. The dumbells were covered in plastic and had protective foam pieces to help hold them in place. The grip bars are great and comfortable to hold and hang on to. The 20lb dumbbells look a little rough on quality where the weights attach to the grip bar however it doesnt effect the quality of use and otherwise, the overall appearance is fine so not a huge deal. (The 25lb dumbbells have much cleaner quality in those areas). They do have a very strong smell (stronger than my other set) however, it was expected and will fade over time. Thankfully mine do not have any oily residue on them, as some others have mentioned in their reviews, so there was no cleaning required! I recommend these dumbbells if you're looking for a deal on a pair. For the most part, they are very similar and comparable to my others so it's a great fit, I will be definitely be purchasing some more heavier sets in the near future.

This set is just what I needed to complete my home gym. This consists of 5,10,15,20, and 25 pound dumbbells and an A-frame rack. It is shipped in a set of 4 boxes via UPS. Needless to say, my delivery guy loved me the day he had to lug these weights to my door. The dumbbells are very nice and high quality. They are very sturdy and durable. These dumbbells have the comfort grips. The grips are not super soft, but are softer than plain metal. The grips have ridged surfaces to make them less slippery. The weights themselves are rubber coated, making them less loud than full metal dumbbells. I ordered additional weights to go with this set to give me a few heavier options. I did not use the A-frame that came with the set. I preferred to go with a 3-tier rack that I could expand my weights. CAP is a trusted name in weights and this is a nice dumbbell set that they have put out. I am very happy with these weights. It is a nice set that you can expand upon.

These 50lb CAP hex dumbbells are solid — great grip, durable coating, and perfect for home workouts. The weight feels balanced and the rubber coating helps protect my floors. The only downside is the strong rubber smell that lasted about a week after unboxing. It eventually faded, but it was noticeable. Other than that, these are high-quality and exactly what I needed for my set.

great rubberized set of dumbells for a great price. I received it in two different shipments days apart. One had a slight smoke smell, but it dissipated after a few days. I have been using these for a few months and recommend this product and would buy other sizes from them.

I’ve been using these for about a month - they seem very well made and have been a nice addition to my workout equipment. They did arrive very oily, as some people have said, and had that “gym” smell, which has since completely dissipated (took a couple weeks). A good wipe down got rid of the oil, but they do still leave some black marks (mostly able to wipe away depending on the material - it’s been hard to completely remove from my workout mat). Overall, good value for a good product!
