Been using these for a couple months and no complaints. The rubber coating doesn’t smell bad, they’re not rolling all over the place thanks to the hex shape, and the rack keeps everything organized without taking up much space. Rack assembly was straightforward, maybe 20 minutes. For $200 you’re getting a solid range of weights that covers most exercises — honestly one of the better purchases I’ve made for my home gym.

Great deal. Yes, they are packed coated in oil to inhibit rust, so they each have to be washed and rinsed with a soapy cloth. And they need to de-gas for sever days for the "new rubber" smell to go away, but this is pretty standard for this type of weight. The base was easy to install with an 11/16 ratchet/wrench. I agree with another reviewer that it is better to put the nuts on the outside of the frame. All around very solid and good quality.

Ok the reviews are right about them being greasy and having a strong odor. I would HIGHLY suggest opening the package in the garage or outside. I did what another customer did was washing them with a soaked wash cloth with dish soap and then drying with another. The rag will turn black after. Once u get rid of the box it came in, wipe down the weights with the wash cloth, it’s definitely worth it for me. These are the closest to $1/lb I found that came as a set and the little rack is so cute! Honestly, I love the set up. If you can handle what I mentioned above, it’s worth the savings.

I was worried when I first order because some of the reviews had mentioned a strong smell or that some of the weights didn’t arrive, but I didn’t experience any of those issues. The smell was not really there and didn’t smell up my house nor did I have to air them out, they all came as they should and are better quality than I thought. The stand is much sturdier than I had expedited as well, and all the handle grips are smooth and not spiky or sharp. Over all I’d say this is a very good starter set either a good weight range! Definitely would recommend to everyone.

Great deal so we purchase it despise the reviews on odor. I opened the weights outside and definitely smelt straight rubber but I just feel like that’s what’s going to happen with any rubber weights! Took a bowl of water, vinegar, and dawn. I washed them and left them outside overnight. Totally fine. The room does not reek of rubber smell. My only complaint is I’m going to need to purchase different bolts because the pieces do not fit within each other for the rack.
