Cap Barbell 100lbs Vinyl Weight Set is a great set for starting or for more experienced lifters. I do like this set but when you use a workout bench for leg lifts or biceps crunches/lifts you're only limited to about 50lbs, that's 2 of the 25lbs. That's ok. But if the weight set were thinner then perhaps they'd be easier to move around and also you could stack four or up to 100lbs. I do think that for the more experienced or those that want to lift beyond 100lbs for bicepts and legs then you need two 100 lbs sets. So, yah, I dont see where these vinyls weight sets are sold as individual weights online. Yah, I may need to get a second set so I'm not constantly moving and unloading the weights. The price is as spectacular as the weights. Do not forget to buy the foam flooring which are amazing and keep your weight set looking nice. I do have a smaller steal set about 10 lbs, but they're rusted already and oxidized and brown looking; I do have sensitive skin so metal is not my first choice at all. ... show more

    • Bar connection is questionable
Decent beginner set for my teens, but the bar connection is questionable and bends at the connection with more weight. Replaced the bar and will use the weights until my teens turn the concrete inside into powder.

So I ordered this and it was way late on the delivery. The tracking number just said a label was made for a few weeks before it was actual given to FedEx. That aside when I got the weights it was in new shape unlike a lot of the reviews I’ve seen. The weights don’t look like the ones in the pictures but they still weigh the same. A lot of people said that the two piece bar was loose and the pins fall out but it was the opposite for me. In fact the holes didn’t even align for me. I was able to file it down to line up and took a hammer to them and they’ll never come out now but that’s fine by me. After a week of using them the weights are starting to wear down in the center from the bar so I’m not sure of the life span on these. ... show more

    • For the price the quality is better than expected.
For what the set is priced, it's a good deal. The bar needed a little tweaking to set up, but after setting it up (and taping the middle) I've had no problems. The weights are as expected, but durable enough for my needs and my home gym setup. One of the weights broke during delivery, I contacted the seller, and they responded within a day with various options of full refund, partial refund, or replacement. I opted for the partial refund and felt it was the best option. For the price the equipment is a solid purchase. Also, the boxes were dirty during shipment, but if you read the sellers note they re-use boxes to recycle, not sure how true that is but I can stand by that. ... show more

I took delivery of this item today and was super excited to try it out. Unfortunately, I regret to say that my excitement quickly turned into a nightmare as I discovered that the product was defective in the middle where the two pieces of bars are to be put together (pictures attached). The pins that were supposed to keep the two bars in place kept falling off/out. I had to improvise by using masking tape (the only one I had at the time) to keep them in place, which I am afraid poses safety risks. Also, the product lacks sturdiness and/or steadiness as it keeps shaking in the middle where the joint is. I would strongly advise future buyers to tread cautiously in their decision to purchase this product. ... show more

The value was good. The bar isn't stable. The onus that hold the bar together don't fit securely, which makes me nervous. However, for the price, it was worth it just to get the plates. Im currently looking for another bar that will work with these plates. Standard hole /bar size for this set is 2 inches in diameter. This one is only an inch so it's not an easy size to find. I've secured the pins by wrapping the bar with duct tape. It's a temporary solution and it works. ... show more

Product is good but Fed-Ex busted the box and didnt even call me to let me know there was a problem,right before Christmas!!!Had to drive 15 miles to get it from Fed-Ex and re-box it myself!!!
