  • Great weight plates, easy to handle.
Size: 260 lb - Set Style: ECONOMY
Good weight. The rubber makes it easy to handle and pick up. The weights had a rubber smell for a few weeks, but honestly, i liked it. it made my basement smell like a gym. Had purchased a new weight cable set with a smith machine and needed new weight with it, so it felt cool to have everything new in basement. This weight set is a great price and you get everything you need. The boxes come in 6 or 7 boxes for each weight plate. ... show more

  • Buy these, not the Cap standard bumper plates
Size: 160 lb - Set Style: PRO
Fantastic bumper plates and well worth the cost. Buy these over the standard CAP bumper plates because the standard stink horribly and are very greasy. These are much better and are with the minor cost increase over the standard.

  • Great weight set
Size: 160 lb - Set Style: ECONOMY
I’m really happy with this bumper plate set! They’ve been a fantastic addition to my home gym and are exactly what I needed to level up my lifting. The rubber coating is high quality and does a great job of absorbing impact, which is a lifesaver for my floors when I'm finishing a heavy set. The 2-inch steel inserts fit perfectly onto my Olympic bar with no awkward rattling or sliding. They feel very durable and well-made, like they’re built to last through years of daily use. It’s a solid, reliable set that looks professional and performs even better. If you’re looking for a dependable set of weights to round out your workout space, these are a great choice! ... show more

  • Good Quality, Nice Looking…… and a little smelly 😆
Size: 100 lb - Set Style: ECONOMY
I love these plates. Added them to an existing gym area in my garage, and they work great with my Body Solid corner leverage gym. The rubber exterior makes them much more quiet than steel plates while still easy enough to grip. They definitely give my gym area an elevated feel. Haven’t weighed them to verify the weight, but I think they are legit. I would like to replace all my old weights with these. Price was fair for what you get. They do have that strong/chemical rubber smell, but it doesn’t really bother me and it will also wear down with time. CAP makes good stuff! ... show more

  • Oily and smelly
Size: 100 lb - Set Style: ECONOMY
Good product and weight is true, but some of my weights came scratched and chipped, and it was also super oily and even after wiping it down it still was kinda oily, has this annoying thick rubber smell and it doesn't go away, even after airing it out, although I did just get this yesterday so hopefully the smell will be fully gone after a week or so ... show more

  • Solid Bumper Plates for Home Gym Use
Size: 100 lb - Set Style: ECONOMY - SPECKLED
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using this set in my home gym and overall it’s a solid option. I enjoy the different colors. The plates feel durable, and the rubber coating finish does a good job protecting both the floor and the bar. They fit securely on an Olympic bar, and the steel inserts help keep everything stable during lifts. I like that all the plates have a uniform diameter, which makes them work well for things like deadlifts. It allows them to be versatile. The weight accuracy feels consistent enough for regular training, and they’ve held up well so far. There is a slight rubber smell at first, but that’s pretty typical and fades over time. Also worth noting that they may arrive in separate shipments, so don’t be surprised if everything doesn’t show up at once. I think that this is a good bumper plate set for home use that’s durable, functional, and gets the job done without overcomplicating things. ... show more

  • Great value, buy them, air them, wash them, dry them, lift them. Simple
Size: 260 lb - Set Style: ECONOMY - SPECKLED
So, getting out of the way I have no experience with any other rubber bumper plates, I think these are great. For starters, since Amazon reviews aren't always clear, this review is for the 260 lb Economy - Speckled set. Getting to the elephant in the room, yes, they have an odor and are they slippery out of the package, but there are valid reasons for that and many other bumper plate brands and products are like this at first so it's not really a point of contention, just something that potential buyers need be aware of. So, they smell and are slippery. To solve that, first I opened the boxes, removed them from their plastic bags, and sat them in the garage for a few days with a fan blowing over them. Then, I washed each plate with Dawn and a sponge, one of those double-sided blue kitchen sponges in a utility sink (but you could do this in a tub or anywhere really). I washed each plate twice. Load the soft side of the sponge with Dawn and soap down each side of the plate and then switch to the scour side of the sponge and work the plate into a good lather all over. Get each side, the center hole, and the outer rim of the plate. Rinse and repeat the process. Then dry with a towel. You'll know you're good when after drying you leave a finger streak that disappears in a few seconds completely. If finger marks remain then there is still oil to be removed. Note: you should see the water/suds turning black/grey as you wash each plate and those suds clearing up on the second (or if need, third wash). So, set them out a few days under a fan in a well ventilated area then wash each one twice with Dawn to a good lather and towel dry. Now you'll be able to put them in your house without odor if that is where you plan to use them. I didn't weight every plate but a 45lb weighed 45.4lb on my home scale but the scale could easily be off and a sample size of one is useless, basic take away, the weights are close enough. Also, some people complain that the 10 and 15 lb are flimsy and they are but they also aren't designed with side loads in mind or to be used without the 25+ plates to help spread out the load, so be aware of that. Basically, don't leave the 10 or 15s on your barbell by themselves, especially in heat, for longer than your workout or they may flex and break. You can leave them on the bar with larger weights no problem, just not themselves. One last thing, while cleaning, don't scrub TOO hard with the scour side. You don't want to shed rubber or rub off the letters and numbers. Pound for pound tho, very happy with the set and are competitively priced to iron plates making this set an excellent set an excellent value (One last thing actually, I do find the speckling makes reading the numbers on the plates a big challenging as the speckling and numbers are the same color but it's not all that bad either, it's not like you're reading them a lot and they've color coded...and size coded, lol) ... show more
