When bag arrived and I took out of plastic bag it did have a very strong chemical odor . I sprayed or rather doused it with Febreze and hung to dry out , the smell was completely gone in 2 days. The color wasn't a big concern for me but it is a greyish color not brown as described. Loved that it had so many pockets and was universal to use as a sling or a crossbody . I loved the bag wasn't bulky at all. I'm using this as a purse. I got the gray one. I love the style! One thing I'd change though: instead of the zip-open one strap/two strap combo, I'd love to see a single, padded strap. I purchased two of these bags for a recent trip to Ireland. They were used everyday and it carried everything I needed while having a small footprint and being extremely comfortable. It securely stored my passport and money in the back, very deep pocket. It easily held my packable down jacket, my wireless charger, phone, snacks, and many other misc items. Because of the thoughtful placement and sizes of the different pockets, I could easily pack items that I needed on a regular basis in the pockets with the easiest access. I was also able to tie my scarf around the top of the strap when it got warm, still leaving me hands free (and looked cute too). Thanks to its smaller size, when it began to rain I’d simply pull out my jacket and put in on over the the bag, keeping both me and the bag dry. I did also spray the bags with a waterproofing spray before our trip which helped when it was lightly raining. It did have a little bit of a smell to it when we received the bags (like many items do), which completely dissipated after a day or two of airing outside the packaging. The bags seem a little bit on the heavy side when you first hold them, but because you are receiving a thicker, durable, canvas type material, quality straps, etc, that means it’s going to weight a little bit more. I found that once I had them packed for the day however, that it was never too heavy to carry around. I have zero complaints for the 10 days I spent walking, hiking, shopping, and bus/train riding all over Ireland. It’s a great bag and priced appropriately - matches the quality. Received it quickly. The thought and consideration that has gone into this design is spot on! I received compliments and inquiries as to where I got it, and it truly eased my daily travel.     • Straps too long, with minimal adjustability

I was really torn on this bag bc it’s very durable (also subsequently a little on the heavy side) and the size/pockets is perfect for my day tripping on my bike. I love the convertible feature but what I hate is that the straps are not sufficiently adjustable when it’s in the 2 strap backpack orientation and can only be shortened a little ways, making it hang way lower on my back than I’d want. Especially when on a bike and you want it more secure. Thus I always left it in crossbody mode. Anyway, my indecision ran longer than the return window and so I’m stuck with it.... forever in crossbody. ... show more

I absolutely love this bag. My daughter had recently got a Kavu, and I liked the concept but it had limitations for me (only 2 pockets, no convertibility, etc). This bag overcomes all those and makes it as near perfect as it could be. Starting in front, there's a small pocket near the bottom with a straight zipper and a security strip of fabric over it (making it not a fast/easy access pocket, but very secure). I use this for my key fob and a few other small items that I rarely need to access. Just above this, the smaller of the two diagonal zip pockets has credit card and pen slots and easily holds my wallet, coin purse, altoids, and receipts. The next diagonal zipper (also with a security flap but much easier to open because it's a longer zipper) opens up into a pocket the size of the whole bag and can hold a couple of medium books (def not textbooks), a compact umbrella, makeup bag, and other misc items. The water bottle pocket perfectly fits a 21 oz HydroFlask and snaps closed when not in use so it doesn't gap out and look weird. The final pocket in back opens with a vertical zipper and is perfect for envelopes, skinnier books, and smaller paperwork. It will not fit 8.5x11 paperwork, unless folded. This pocket looks small because of the accent trim and the zipper opening is only about 6.5"; it's actually as big as the whole back of the back but it's basically 2-dimensional. All of the zippers are closed in the "up" position. The straps are easy enough to convert, I love that this bag has a hanging loop at the top, and it's very comfortable to wear in any position. The canvas material, straps, and zippers all feel robust and long-wearing; the dark grey color is classy and casual. Really fantastic bag and I highly recommend. ... show more

I received my bag. The transaction was easy. It shipped very quickly. The purse has 5 pockets. This is great because I can "hide" my wallet in the back pocket, and put my phone on the side.The little front pocket is good for chapstick, asprin, etc. I like to have my stuff very organized and this is just right. I don't have to worry about my wallet falling out if I am getting my hairbrush or day-planner. The only problem was a strong odor when I unpacked it. I sprayed a towel with Febreeze and put it in the bag. The smell went away in 2 days. This is a good bag and I would buy again or tell a friend ... show more
