I bought this to replace a JUNK HP printer that not only didnt work almost from day one, it had the stupid Insta-ink subscription rip off. This printer was ready to go out of the box. Took little set up, and it print without even downloading any programs. The printer is a little large, and the print quality isn't top grade, but I'm realistic about what you get for the price. And i think this is definately worth what it cost. My only complaint, and this could just me being un-educated on this stuff, but i had to download a scan/copy tool from microsoft to use the scanner, cause i couldnt figure out how to use the printer, or didnt see any downloadable program from canon. (again might have been my stupidness, so i didnt knock the rating for it) ... show more

    • OK for occasional printing
This works OK. I had trouble getting Blue Tooth to function properly. I reread manual, chatted on line then quit until a young friend took a look. He tried everything I had, finally said let’s turn off your router for ten minutes and then re-boot. Works OK now. One odd thing it doesn’t stay on full time like my previous Cannons or my larger Brother copier. Maybe it’s to save energy? ... show more

I got this printer as the other “high tech” printer I had kept shutting down on me. Even though it does not have all the features I would like it has not shut down on me and for that it is worth my money. I am not wasting time trying to set up the Wi-Fi on a daily basis and for hours. I would buy this printer again in a heartbeat ... show more

    • Printer is just a scam. Not worth it.
The absolute cheapest printer in every way. The ink hardly lasts, even the XL and other brands. You can't refill the cartridges or use when ink is low because of the memory... No way around it. I read somewhere that the printer "remembers" 3 cartridges so you can refill the 4th one, but I got so many errors & it just stopped working by the time I got to that point. I've never had issues with my cheap Epson. ... show more

I like to buy from a small business but when they pass off your questions to “call Canon” I can’t give them a good review, and the item was double in price, sometimes small businesses aren’t the way to go. The printer works like it should, lol, but the ink is more than the printer
