  • Prints well
Had trouble printing at first. However you have to adjust the paper feed guide, once that is done it prints well.

  • Great Purchase
We ditched our HP printer for this Cannon and very happy that we did. Our old HP was heavy and slow although it was only 3 years old! This Cannon is so light, quick to print (not as much time to warm up as our HP) and just simple to use. Price was very inexpensive so we are very satisfied customers. Bonus....Cannon ink is also less than the HP ink that we had to purchase for our old printer! ... show more

  • A real surprise...
We bought this printer 6 months ago when the Cannon we had for years became unrepairable -- no parts. I spent considerable time researching brand, new vs used and price point options and, based on reviews here and elsewhere, no alternatives seemed to recommend themselves. So, I stuck with the brand I was familiar with and bought the cheapest inkjet. Yes, it's a 'lightweight' and yes, it's operation seems hurky/jerky but it prints -- 2-sided without having to manually reinsert -- scans and makes copies without a hitch. Also, it is not an Ink 'vampire'. Links to both our desktop and my laptop wirelessly, again, without a hitch. Actually, it's performance is better than the PIXMA we had. Also, the online support instruction and videos very easy to follow. I don't stress it with a big job -- like 50 pages double-sided -- but for regular use including printing photos, we're relieved and delighted and, yes surprised. ... show more

  • Price and quality
Easy to install n connected to both my laptop ( using the CD-ROM) and iPhone ( wireless/ Bluetooth). Letter prints look great, photo prints are so so( not a printer intended for photo prints though). Excellent choice for home and light office work. My kit also includes 243( black) n 244 (color) ink. But in the long run, I will order 245 XL ( black) n 246XL ( color) ink. ... show more

  • Run Away!
Do you long for the nostalgia of the 1990s where setup took hours, Wi-Fi was only a dream and you ended up beating your head against a wall trying to use the useless screen with print so small you need a microscope to read it? Then this is the printer for you! Seriously. This printer is an embarrassment. I have used canon commercial grade products for a long time. Always great. Thought, their retail must be good too. Whoa was that a mistake. Canon needs to exit this business. Let’s talk about Wi-Fi setup. After 10 frustrating minutes of trying to figure out the utter idiocy of the key pad (try to figure out how to input numbers without having to google it, I dare ya) you learn that this air-print printer is really not an air print printer. You have to install the canon app to your phone. Here is the thing, it won’t find your network. Back to google. Oh, hold down the infinity button for three seconds and follow the instructions. Ready for the instructions? “Follow the instructions on your pc or phone”. Sigh. Okay. The canon app cannot locate the printer. Hold the button again. Okay, progress it found my wifi connection. But it wants me to I put the Wi-Fi connection on the app. Okay, did that. Searching for printer. “This may take up to three minutes” (I can’t make this stuff up). Guess what, it can’t find the printer - and yes it is connected to my Wi-Fi. The app direct me To canons on line product manual. Hey guess what, THEY DONT HAVE THIS MODELS MANIAL ON LINE. Yes, canon is that stupid. I did finally solve this by ordering an HP. Run away from this embarrassment of a piece of garbage. Seriously, how can canon put this out in the market and claim they are not scamming the public. This does not work. There is no support. There is no way this worked in QA before release. I will never buy canon again, and that now includes their commercial products. ... show more

  • Poorly Engineered and Lacking Needed Software
This unit has some limits that make usage difficult at times. You can't save scans in any format other than PDF. And you can't scan directly to Microsoft Office. IF you don't have a conversion app, you're out of luck. Inexcusable considering the dominance of Microsoft products in virtually any hardware available. Another huge failure in engineering relates to the micro-mini LCD message window. The usable message area is less than 1/2" x 1-1/2." It is virtually impossible to see the tiny screen. To add to that screwup, there's no backlight on the screen so not only do you struggle to see the message due to the miniscule size, some failed rocket scientist engineer decided to omit any way to view messages. I have to use a flashlight. I have a large desk with excellent lighting but it doesn't extend 5 feet across the entire desk. The print quality is very good and I have no issues re that. But to be honest, if I knew then what I know now, I would not buy or recommend this printer. ... show more

  • Easy Peasy
I just got my printer today. I followed directions to the letter for set up and it was so very easy! Ink cartridges are a little tricky but after a couple tries easy peasy. I printed a photo and it is beautiful. Rich colors and very sharp image. So far I love it! I will check back after a few months of use. Thank you Canon. ... show more

  • Easy to use & set up.
This printer worked great. It was easy to set up and only took about 20 minutes! The print quality is great and does not jam. The print quality is great and fast. This had made working at home much easier.
