This camera arrived in great shape. It's my first Canon (from Nikon). Someone took very good care of it. It takes great pictures, including when it is attached to my telescope for astrophotography. The hardest thing is the lack of a great instruction manual to go with it. The book that came with it is very basic and only covers the bare essentials.     • I would be good to get more operational details.
I am disappointed that the battery in the camera is not holding the charge obviously is in not good. I keep charging it and it goes out after I unplug it. I would really appreciate it if I could get a replacement battery.

I love this camera! I’ve been obsessed with it since I got it. It comes with everything you need to use it as soon as you get it! Takes great portraits of people and animals, as well as fast paced pictures (like my picture of fire) very well. It doesn’t charge super fast but the battery lasts pretty long. Myself and several friends have this camera. My main complaint is the audio for video is not what I had hoped for. I do not use the auto focus and there is no external mic. Stabilization for photography is really quite good. It’s probably one of the best selling starter camera. I also have a Zoom brand video recorder which helps compensate for the audio. ... show more

This gets the job done for beginners, but it’s a bit outdated for the needs of a videographer. I would still recommend for beginners as a safe buy. You will need additional lighting for crisp quality.
