I purchased this back support to help with lower back issues I've had for 5 months now. Very pleased with the results after wearing for several weeks now. This brace comes with metal supports for those that may need the extra stiffness, however I replaced with the included nylon stiffeners that worked well for my issues. Brace is very adaptable, as you can adjust initial support on the main brace and then tension to most any level with the additional support straps. Velcro straps on both primary and secondary strap are working well. I've had no issues at all with brace and would recommend purchasing for any having back issues. I purchased this brace for my fiancé to provide security for himself as he does heavy lifting at work. He had a minor childhood injury that occasionally leads to aches and pains while performing rigorous manual labor. He perused several listings, and ultimately, decided on the brace listed here. He wasn't sure how affective the brace would be since he's never used one before, but fortunately, it has helped him immensely. He says that it provides a comfortable amount of compression, fully supporting his lower spinal column. Aches have been minimal. Furthermore, he believes in his case this brace has helped relieve tension as well as the lingering after-effects of heavy labour (combined with adequate rest and a good ol' fashioned steak 😉). The brace itself arrived fully intact, stitches fully secured within the material, and can be adjusted. There are metal rods, nylon, 2 different pads. This back brace is able to fit under clothes well without appearing to be bulky. Overall it's very solid.
