  • WOW!!!! So easy to set up! I'll be a happy camper!
Style: 8 Person
I love this design! I was skeptical that an 8 person tent could be set up so quickly, but now I’m convinced! My husband and I set this tent up in 2 minutes on our first try! Then it took me around 7 minutes to take the tent down by myself and roll it up. (But keep in mind, this was my first time taking it down.) I’m truly amazed! No more struggling with tent poles! The poles are already installed, so all you have to do is push a button to release them and pull until you hear them click into place (they are telescoping poles.) After that, all you have to do is stake the corners down and add the rain cover/canopy (which will also need to be staked.) It feels very sturdy! Setting the tent up is a 2 person job. One nice touch is the directions are sewn into the carrying bag, so you don’t have to worry about losing them. Start by unrolling and spreading the tent on the ground, then release the top poles, and then release the side/corner poles. Ideally, the poles on each side should be released at the same time. (I initially tried to set the tent up by myself and decided I should wait for my husband to get home so he could help!) I was able to take the tent down by myself, but I folded in one of the corners incorrectly and had a little trouble rolling the tent up small enough to fit back into the bag. It did go back in with some struggle, but if I had folded it correctly it would have easily fit into the carrying bag. The tent feels well constructed. The top is open netting and comes with a rain cover. There is a door on the front and windows on the back and both sides. There’s a little Velcro opening on the front side for a power cord to run through. The right and left sides of the tent have a small vented area (mesh) near the floor that does not zip closed, to help improve air circulation. The outside of these areas are covered by a tent flap that fits at such an angle it would be difficult for rain to blow in. (I am still a little concerned about that - I guess time will tell!) A rectangular piece of canvas attaches to clips by the front zippered door and serves as a doormat. Inside, there is a small mesh netting that attaches near the ceiling of the tent. This ideally is a good place to store your wallet or cell phone while you sleep, and there’s also a loop on the bottom side of this net for hanging a lantern or whatnot. The tent also comes with an additional piece of canvas material used to divide the inside of the tent into 2 private sleeping areas. This tent feels very roomy! I could see it sleeping 8 with no problem, but also sleeping 4 with a lot of extra space for gear and/or pets. I’m only 5’1” tall, and I can stand up in the middle of this tent, which is nice for me! We have not gone camping in it yet, so as of today I cannot comment on this tent’s water resistance. It looks like it is constructed with standard tent material and well-made, so assuming that will be just fine. I will update this review if we discover any issues after using it for a while! ... show more

  • Excellent
Style: 6 Person
Remember when it comes to tent sizes, look closely at the actual measurements, not the number of people. A "six person tent" means that six people can technically fit laying next to each other but won't allow for any wiggle room. And a tall person will want to pay special attention. That being said, this tent is a very luxurious size for my husband and myself. He still can't stand up in it because he is 6'4" but he can fit laying down without his head or feet touching either end. There is one door in this tent. All four sides have windows. There is an air vent opposite the door close to the ground. The bottom half of the material is darkened. The rain fly is also dark. I like that because it will throw fewer shadows as well as letting me sleep longer when the sun comes up. The included rectangle of material that serves as a door mat is actually much better than I thought it would be. It is pretty tough, has hooks to stay in place, and will actually be useful as a place to take off my boots while keeping my socks cleaner. They middle of the roof of the tent not only has a hook in the center, there is also a net with hooks and loops included to make a little kind of shelf up there. If you have a lantern that doesn't have a hook it would be an ideal place to put it. There is a net pocket on both sides walls of the tent so both of us will have a place to keep our glasses and flashlight. Each seam has more reinforcement than I am used to seeing. There is an extra layer of clear material. I haven't tested this in the rain yet but it makes me very confident. My husband set up the tent in seconds and was very impressed. The easy up technology really makes it so easy. I am impressed with how small this tent packs down considering it is the easy up kind instead of the old school poles design. My husband has been hard core camping since he was a little kid and he was immediately ready to make this our go-to tent. We have zero complaints about our last tent, it is just much bigger and we wanted a more reasonable size when trying to pack lighter. This one is plenty big for both of us and however much extra junk I want to bring along. Our cots will fit with room to spare. The instructions are sewn into the zippered bag. But after your first time putting it up and down I doubt you will need them ever again. It is really, really easy. I can't wait to take this tent out in the middle of nowhere and really test it out. Or use it to camp in the backyard with my niece when she comes to visit. It's a good tent with plenty of room. Five stars. ... show more

  • Love it!
Style: 8 Person
Bought this to replace an old tent. Love the size of this tent (13X10). We got the Zeta C8 Pro model (8 person). One of the selling points for me was the "easy setup" the company claimed. Well, they weren't lying. Wife and I unpacked it, looked at the directions for a minute and....it was up. So easy. Just make sure the center is standing up, extend the roof poles, then the legs poles and POOF, the tent is up. I really like that the directions are sewn into the storage pouch. You can't lose them (you won't need them after the first time anyway). It has one door in the front, vent on either side, an electrical cord opening, and lots of windows and ventilation. The top of the tent is just screen mesh for star gazing. It is covered if you install the rain cover. It comes with a mesh "junk holder" that attaches to the center of the roof. The seams look well sewn. It's already set up and being evaluated in the back yard. I did notice that the door zipper was a little hard to move. A little candle wax took care of that. Side note - We live in Florida and camping in the summer is brutal without an a/c. I covered the roof mesh with insulation pads. Cut to fit each section and attached with velcro. Once you put on rain cover, the tent stays very nice. We use an 8000BTU portable. It actually stays nice in the tent. At night..it will freeze you. Anyway, good price, EASY, QUICK setup, seems well made. Buy it now, thank me later. ... show more
